If you leave the rear locker engaged when going downhill it will help you to keep straight and that will help out in some scenarios!

I have zero off road experience and even I know not to have your diff locked the entire time on the trail. People that think that blow my mind. My bronco does have a locking rear diff and I optioned it that way just because I wanted it. I'll be looking forward to doing the bronco off rodeo later on in the month of May in New Hampshire.

I know dude. When I get comments saying "Leave the lockers on through the whole trail" I just roll my eyes haha You'll have a fun at the off-roadeo. the one in Texas was cool! thanks for watching dude!

I think the biggest challenge is making the jump from limited slip to open w/ lockers. I’ve literally spent my whole off road driving life not thinking about it. I’m pretty impressed how far you can actually get w/o using the locker.

How do you like the ZR2? I have a Bronco BD on order but I’m also considering getting a ZR2 (2022) instead.

I think they are super underrated. Most capable midsize Truck. Not counting the Gladiator since its about 20-30k more for similar features haha. Only down sides of this Generation of ZR2 is, Approach angle isn't THAT good 30 degrees is meh. tires are small for an off-roader, Rear shock mounts can get hung up on rocks and front visibility isn't that great when off-roading. Tech is also a little behind (as it should, its been out since 2015) The good news is, the New Generation ZR2 literally fixes all of those issues. (im excited to get behind the wheel of one) As far as compared to a bronco, to get the same features on a bronco you have to spend more money. on road the ZR2 is better in every way(because its based on a pickup) quieter ride, better handling, better MPG, more practical etc. The bronco has more power compared to this Gen of ZR2 and offroad, depending on the model, the bronco will be more capable out of the box when it comes to rock crawling. Now if you change your mind to a New Generation ZR2, I think that's where id lean if it fixes all the current Gen "issues". Hope that helped haha.

Love the video as a Bronco owner that wants to start off-roading. I have a 2 door first edition, next video should be when to use the sway bar disconnect and why.

Appreciate it! And as far as the sway bar goes, that’s easy! As soon as you get on to the trail, disconnect it haha it’ll stay disconnected up to 20MPH. That way you get a better ride while off-roading and then you never have to worry about if you’re getting the full articulation or not. Thanks for watching!
