I actually let out an audible exclamation when Keralis said he was gonna build the Amerigo Vespucci. She is an absolutely lovely ship. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday (22 February). She currently serves as a training ship but she is sometimes involved in sailing parades, ceremonies and in races with other Tall Ships, she has even managed to sail around the world despite her age. In terms of weaponry she only carries two saluting guns. Her motto is "Non chi comincia ma quel che persevera, which I believe roughly means Not the one who commences but the one who perseveres. She also bears a figurehead of her namesake. Speaking of her name, she is often referred to as "The most beautiful ship in the world", this is a reference to that one time in 1962 when she was merrily sailing in the Medditeranean and happened upon the American aircraft carrier Independence. The carrier flashed the signal "Who are you?". Amerigo Vespucci replied "Training ship Amerigo Vespucci, Italian Navy". Independence's reply was "You are the most beautiful ship in the world."

The ship is another perfect example of why Joe Hills came to the city with a book and quill and made a list called "Ideas to steal from Keralis" for the skyscraper he is building. My wife and I started a survival world when visiting family back in 2014. Since then it's morphed into a creative world that I have dedicated to her. I've been building a city named after he since then. It's the oldest map I have and my wife thinks I'm a dork for doing it. But it's a weird way of documenting our life together. It don't always get to build in it as I have to travel for work al lot but is slowly grown over the years. I got much of my much inspiration for builds form Keralis in the beginning. Cleo wanted to put people inside the suburban houses but discovered they aren't finished so she couldn't. I'd say finish the suburbs so Cleo can work her magic in them. Also a tip. Check the containers at the dock for pest holes.
