But as a good champ, they kept it for themselves and didn't bring it to attention even to Doc. There's another possiblity. Your friends may not know you're maybe starting on KZbin and Twitch, and as you're slowly growing, they catch the glimpse of your channel and start watching your content. And then realize - wait a minute, I know him! So yeah, that's what could also totally happen. Especially if you keep your identity private (your real name and maybe even your appearance), friends might not know you're doing YT/Twitch, and then find out by your voice that it's you (if you are completely under cover and not even voicing the videos - like Magmamusen, then you should be safe of an accidental reveal from your friends - Magmamusen recently started to hire voice actor to voice videos for him, until then, he used subtitles and caption cards). Me personally, I'm not too afraid of being harrassed and doxed (but if it happens, be sure I will actually take a good care of it), that means that my friends will instantly find out my activity and instantly will recognise me. I'm not however afraid of them changing their attitude towards me, because they don't really care about KZbin and Twitch and don't make a big deal of it, which is a thing I really like.

I think the thing about the fan art thing is that while content creators stealing art is a worry and a problem, this channel has always made it clear that while Doc has creative control, it is in a sense a community project. Crazy Hivemind tech builds are one aspect; fan artists are another part of the Hivemind.

Most CCs credit art if they know who made it (and if they don't they specify that). I know the Hermits & Empires crew do at least. If they don't odds are they prob just forgot to mention it rather than downright stealing.

I know that Hermitcraft is all about exploring the possibilities of what can be done with different aspects of survival minecraft, but wow, Doc's Hall of Goat has to be one of the most unique and eye-catching builds I've ever seen even on Hermitcraft! It's not easy building something that has that organic element but at the same time is structured and neat, but Doc is really nailing it

It's clear by retweeting other pieces you like each week that this isn't just "ooh nice attention-grabbing title card for free", you're motivated by a genuine appreciation for what everyone makes. I agree. He introduces me to a lot of great artists that I otherwise would know about. Plus they both get something out of it. Doc gets a thumbnail and they get some traffic and more people exposed to their art. I'd be really happy if I made an art piece that was featured on a channel like Doc's. I don't draw much anymore though so my art isn't likely to make it on a channel like this. I blacksmith knives, make jewelry, and make canes and walking sticks for old and disabled people that need them in my area.

So, anyone who doesn't want their work shared would obviously say so. Plus, you give every artist full credit, and link the places their works can be found. An idea for the perimeter: when you eventually decorate it, what about a giant garden theme. It will fit perfectly with your theme and with the super farms it will give a cool eco-tech feeling and a nice contrast to the typical industrial style perimeter. Mostly i think i will look super beautiful

Doc, you were worried about making it seem like you were taking advantage of fan artists for the thumbnails. But the way you go about it is phenomenal, so don't worry about it. You ask fan artists if they mind you using the fan art for the thumbnail. If they agree, you already have their permission. But you also showcase the fanart, shout out the artist and link their socials. And fanart is made for you to see, after all. But you then also show it to your community. You go above and beyond what many do. I for one really love the small fanart sections in the episode. Keep it up you tomato loving madman!

It just depends on each one vision, for you money most be the valuable thing! And i understand! :D but what truely matters to me is doc's nice words towards our community! Another possibility is a prank - there was at least one incident of tadpoles smuggled into someone else's base already this season - but yeah, in my own world I totally have frogs that hiked from the swamp they spawned in across an entire savannah and are halfway scross the desert now...

I think the slime mobs should stay as tomatoes but the slime blocks should stay green. If the slime blocks are red, it blends in with redstone blocks and I think it makes it harder to tell what is happening on really complicated redstone. (Something you're kinda known for) The green slime is good because it is such a different color.

Also... Some other hermits can use slime block as a decorative block... So it also can be a small issue for doc's perspective.

Tango just made a simple switching elevator using waterlogged skulk sensors, I think it would work well if you used skulk sensors and a wall/detector for the vertical signal for the flag elevator

As a casual minecrafter since the beginning of the game, I will always be impressed by the absolute scale of everything you do Doc as well as all the hermits. It’s just impressive how much dedication you have. If Hermitcraft were just a bunch of live streaming of resource collecting I would still watch as it’s just amazing what can be done when you, the Hivemind, or hermits commit the level of energy needed to even eclipse what you guys produce. Impressed as always. 😁😁

I mean , Scar himself has stated that Pearl has ascended to the level of being a "Minecraft Artist", and he has gushed over her base twice this season already. If someone is confusing your builds for something done by someone that Scar holds in high regard - you're doing something very right.

5:30 I think the "slime" blocks, should no longer have the green ...(what's it called) "hat" anymore, they have been cut up & diced. The problem is that they would be too easy to confuse with redstone-blocks then. (I think the design of red slimeblocks look really cool)

The resource grind is the reason Hermitcraft builds are so much better than other channels. Resource grinding time lapse’s are equally if not more satisfying than building time lapse’s. So, people who say resource grinding videos are boring don’t belong in the Hermitcraft audience.
