Hey I have a better idea. Just use an Xbox One mic, plug it into your computer, play a free game, download OBS, record your game, send it to yourself on Email, edit it with IMovie, upload it, repeat. Exactly what I did and I spent no money.

Great video Nick! I know you posted this a few years ago and there are a lot of new software available. Onoe that I use and love for Video Editing is called Davinci Resolve. It is just as powerful as Adobe Premier Pro but it is free. :)

If you're just starting, don't overspend on technology until you're sure that you want to do to and maybe even make a return investment of your videos... I started with very cheap equipment and have since upgraded alot. I'd suggest getting an AT 2020 xlr setup, and a second pc with elgato. So you won't lose frames playing PC.

I do not have a lot of money to throw around so I have to use free or really cheap things. As I look through the comments, I see a lot, and I mean A LOT of people "Begging for subs." And, yes, asking to sub to you and then telling people that you will sub to them is begging. That is where most people go wrong with KZbin, they think of being a huge and a great quality channel such as, Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, and etc. You can't start off expecting to have 100 or 1000 subs in a week or two, it just doesn't work that way. What you have to do is you just have to start uploading videos no matter how crappy they are, because uploading will give you a higher chance to be seen and recognized on KZbin. I would recommend one thing though, Do Not Record Facecam until you know more about the software you use, you need to get the feel and understand what you can do with what you have, you need to at least have a really good Camera, or if you don't care about the "quality" just go ahead and use your built in camera. Look up videos on how to get better quality videos because if you don't then you won't get any better, look up videos if you see things on your recording software you don't understand, so that if you do have any problems with the software, you can know what the problem is and how to fix it. If you want good quality audio, just use Audacity, it is a great tool, IT WILL look EXTREMELY CONFUSING at first, I don't even know how to use the program properly and efficiently yet. I know that most people will think I don't know what I am talking about since I only have 6 subs, but I have learnt the way people approach KZbin trying to start off BIG and GETTING NOWHERE. Which won't really work, if you never had done anything with audio or video in your life. Just try and improve as you go along.
