What did I do without this for so long?2 pieces of French Toast at a time ?20 minutes for 10 pancakes ?NO MOREthis griddle is awesomeTook some time to season before first use kzbin.infoUgkxHM5jmQoi4dbb0hoWSBs9hPhSwXUbGVG_ did brunch and hibachi dinner on Mother’s Day and it worked like a charmSturdy, well built and heats up quick. burners2-4 were a little stubborn but then lit up.Great addition to my patio.Bought the cover and it’s great, also bought the accessories kit - scraper is good but the spatulas are flimsy to be honest that’s my only negative.

An easy teriyaki sauce is equal parts of kikkoman soy sauce, water, and white or brown sugar. Maybe one cup of each. Bring it to a boil and dissolve the sugar. Once it has boiled be careful it may overflow. Add in a corn starch slurry (corn starch and cold water) slowly to the soy sauce. Mix in and bring back to a boil but now you must be careful because it will boil very rapidly and overflow. This is the simplest recipe. You can add other things like ginger and orange 🍊 but thats not needed and up to you. And only add the teriyaki after the food is cooked right at the end because it burns very quickly. And i recommend putting kikkoman soy sauce on your food at the end after it has fully cooked and sear it on the food. Always cook it on the highest heat possible or is will simmer in its juices which you don't want. I know all of this because I am a hibachi chef and have been for almost 20 years. I hope I helped someone. And I do recommend this grill they used. Its called a Blackstone and they sell them at Wal-Mart and online too. Around 300 bucks

You are so kind to take time and help me make my Hibachi even better. I will definitely make this Teriyaki recipe next time. I have a marinade recipe for London Broil, which calls for teriyaki and bottle of coke, I am going to use your recipe for teriyaki, maybe I will add this marinade to my channel. Again Thanks!!!!!

@@BonnieMyers I liked your video and he did a good job cooking too. I now how to make all the sauces too lol. But those are quite a bit harder to make than the teriyaki. Your very welcome. Any questions or suggestions are always welcome

Destinee Bolden I use 20 Minute Rice, Uncle Bens, I cook it according to directions, it is always perfect, I have used this my whole life. I let it sit on stove with lid on it for 5 Minutes after cooking. I hope this has helped you. 😊
@dman0042
@dman0042 3 жыл бұрын
@@destineebolden3313 I know this is an old comment but yes you should make your rice the night before. Make it in a rice make. Just one cup of water to one cup of rice. I like to use good Jasmine rice. Using any more water than one cup will make your rice over saturated and mushy. Also when the rice is done in your rice cooker add some unsalted real butter. Little slivers of butter. Let it melt and fluff. Add more butter and fluff until it looks as if all the rice is coated nicely with melted butter. If done correctly you can actually fry the rice immediately after. But you can also refrigerate it to help give it that extra stiffness. When frying on stove or griddle and it seems to get to done you can simply squirt a little water on it. Mix. Remove from heat and cover and it will resaturate perfectly. Dont forget to add soysauce near the end of it frying.

Great Video. Is the left side your warming side (I assume burners off) and the right side your cooking side (I assume toggling burner dials depending on what is cooking)? Never thought of doing Ramen on it; very creative.
@BonnieMyers

Yes, I always turn off burner to warm or elevate food on to a rack. I also turn burners up and down as I cook. I always start with a hot grill and adjust burners as I cook. I love the flat top, it allows more options for grilling. I do have other handy grill accessories. Maybe someday I will use a few of my handy dandy tools on my videos.

Just a little tip I learned on the rice. Cook the rice well enough in advance that you can put it on a sheet pan and stick it in the fridge for a few hours to somewhat dry it out. It separates better that way and doesn't become gummy.

I am responsible for making this style dinner tomorrow for a family get-together at my parents house. I came here to get an idea of what to use. I hope mine turns out is good as yours looks or 15 people may be disappointed. LOL. I'm going to post a video about my experience, too. Wish me luck. Love the channel. Cheers!

@@BonnieMyers it was fun to make for sure. It turned out pretty good with the chicken, shrimp and steak. Oh, and I have a fun rice story now, LOL (too much rice, not nearly enough water, misread the directions, LOL... like 24 cups rice in 6 cups water, LOL). I did not make a video... next time I will. I will also tweak my measurements... LOL.

This looks good but one issue I see is the lack of oil use. Butter is good but but i see it left a lot of burned residue on the grill. You should use oil and butter. The oil keeps the butter from burning. Other than that great job and that’s a fantastic looking meal.
