An easy teriyaki sauce is equal parts of kikkoman soy sauce, water, and white or brown sugar. Maybe one cup of each. Bring it to a boil and dissolve the sugar. Once it has boiled be careful it may overflow. Add in a corn starch slurry (corn starch and cold water) slowly to the soy sauce. Mix in and bring back to a boil but now you must be careful because it will boil very rapidly and overflow. This is the simplest recipe. You can add other things like ginger and orange 🍊 but thats not needed and up to you. And only add the teriyaki after the food is cooked right at the end because it burns very quickly. And i recommend putting kikkoman soy sauce on your food at the end after it has fully cooked and sear it on the food. Always cook it on the highest heat possible or is will simmer in its juices which you don't want. I know all of this because I am a hibachi chef and have been for almost 20 years. I hope I helped someone. And I do recommend this grill they used. Its called a Blackstone and they sell them at Wal-Mart and online too. Around 300 bucks
@BonnieMyers4 жыл бұрын
You are so kind to take time and help me make my Hibachi even better. I will definitely make this Teriyaki recipe next time. I have a marinade recipe for London Broil, which calls for teriyaki and bottle of coke, I am going to use your recipe for teriyaki, maybe I will add this marinade to my channel. Again Thanks!!!!!

Destinee Bolden I use 20 Minute Rice, Uncle Bens, I cook it according to directions, it is always perfect, I have used this my whole life. I let it sit on stove with lid on it for 5 Minutes after cooking. I hope this has helped you. 😊
@dman00423 жыл бұрын
@@destineebolden3313 I know this is an old comment but yes you should make your rice the night before. Make it in a rice make. Just one cup of water to one cup of rice. I like to use good Jasmine rice. Using any more water than one cup will make your rice over saturated and mushy. Also when the rice is done in your rice cooker add some unsalted real butter. Little slivers of butter. Let it melt and fluff. Add more butter and fluff until it looks as if all the rice is coated nicely with melted butter. If done correctly you can actually fry the rice immediately after. But you can also refrigerate it to help give it that extra stiffness. When frying on stove or griddle and it seems to get to done you can simply squirt a little water on it. Mix. Remove from heat and cover and it will resaturate perfectly. Dont forget to add soysauce near the end of it frying.
