Could you do a video on 5 speed gearboxes to add the gearbox series please Paul, maybe different types of diff and their strengths too?

A very interesting tour of the HRE works, glad to see that it looks like a real workshop and not an operating theatre like some modern ones are. It reminds me of BMC's competition department back in the early 1960s.

With the Riley lying on its side what have you used to protect the body from the floor?

Good to see you again Paul. I enjoy the workshop tours. It feels as if we've missed a lot that you've been upto! I know you can't film it all. I'd like to see more engine building as it's always fascinating and my brain can just about cope with that. Once you start the really detailed engineering of parts i tend to get a bit lost 😅

Interesting problem with the pitch of the rivets being out of tolerance. Just an idea. You could possibly mount an arm off of the T slot which would have a small flat plate with a hole the size of the top of the rivet. This pate could be spring loaded or hinged etc and directly centred with your drill bit. So when you rotate your assembly it would fit down over the rivet you want to drill out. You might also need a way of clamping your assembly quickly and then release and rotate to the next rivet and so on. Im sure you will come up with a good method anyway. Cheers. (very interesting viewing)

it is likely that the springs are produced by a sub contractor, if that is the case should not be too hard to obtain extra springs in batches of one hundred on a face to face basis. You just need to track down the factory involved. It would save you having to buy in two clutch assemblies to make one.

Its something I'm working on David but as yet no joy. The search continues 👍

With regards your finding that the clutch plate rivets are not lined up. Do you think that it might just be that the rivet heads are not concentric?

Or... you could turn off the heads of the rivets in the lathe. Disappointing after all that work for your jig, but efficiency is pounds in your pouch! 👍🏁

Ya quite disappointed but at least we know our engineer is solid and it will be import when we are redrilling the new holes we can put them in the right place

I'd like to see you replace the bearings in the transfer case. The idler gear bearing always causes me hassle.

Ya no problem Paul I’ll do a short on it this week. An if you want more info you can let me know and I’ll do a bigger video on it

Hi Paul Great follow up on your Minis! How do you best move a Mini shell, to it's side, like you have done safely?
