"They wont come off...!" 😂😂 Looks like it time for THE TALK! ☺️ When my oldest two were that age (they are only ten months apart) my wife was home schooling them and had one either side of her and was doing the whole "sperm and egg" bit. They asked how the sperm got into the female. Their mum reminded them about the time they saw a bull in the field mounting the cow. She explained that was what he was doing. Que a brief silence as they process this then a horrified look at each other followed by daughter "You and Daddy did that???" Eeww!" Then peals of laughter. Which mum embarrassedly joined in! But they learnt the lesson. They are now late 20's. Oh, and they are both socially adjusted and have full university degrees. Daughter married and som did Masters. Both living their own lives successfully.

I laughed so hard at the “stuck frogs”, actually went & showed segment to my husband! The Lord knew I’m going through a hard time & that segment brought warmth to my heart! A real blessing. Shadow’s babies are so precious. The boy would be considered “dun” in color, having Norwegian Fjord ponies, they are all dun - there are 5 shades. The unique coincidence between your your adult buck, the baby buck & the Fjords - the ponies have a black stripe that goes from between ears all the way to the tail, the mane is white on either side of the black (trimmed like a Mohawk) & the tail is white & black. This breed goes back over 3500 yrs & were the war mounts for the Vikings. For Norway they are a National symbol - just like our eagle is for us. Maybe name the new buck Eagle! He’s so unique! God bless all of your family & thank you for bringing joy to my heart today, it was the best & just what the Lord knew I needed!

Watching you work with the honey brought back so many memories. My Dad was a beekeeper and kept them on his property that was 3 hours from home. No one wanted to ride in the car with him when he was transporting the bees! He built a honey house that smelled wonderful. He would have liked the spiky roller. His extractor held at least 6 frames. He would put the honey directly into metal cans. He had a wood stove in there as he was processing in Michigan right before deer season. I actually have one little bear of his honey that I could not bring myself to eat. He would set aside two small chunks of the combs for my sister and me. I still have the honeycomb dish that we used from the time I was a little girl. He passed in 1999. The honey house served as a bunk house during hunting season. And yes I buy local. My favorite farmers market gentleman would always have a few boxes of honey in the comb that I would get for myself and my sister as our birthday present. Sadly he has gone to Glory. However, we do have a man from church that usually has jars available.

After few months after my husband died I needed a vacation. A friend offered my a vacation as she had a time share space and couldn't use it. I went to a local farmers market and found beautiful semi-precious stones cut into hearts. I bought some and as I traveled up the state, when I met someone special, I gave them a heart. My vacation ended at my sister's home. There were two hearts left, so she chose one and I have the other. It brings me joy knowing I made others hearts happy and shared compassion and love.

My uncle was a beekeeper before he died many years ago. As a kid dad and I would go over during the fall and grab some honey from him and had it for breakfast on some toast and eggs. My uncle was a medium sized beekeeper and had around some 40 hives he would attend to and sell the honey to others in the community. He did the slice the cone method and used a smoker to gather the honey along with a netted hood.

What you need to be able to keep the garage door open and keep the bees out is called an "air curtain". It's a big fan that goes above the door and blows down, like they use at Walmart. They're not exactly cheap though. An added benefit of an air curtain is it if you are heating or cooling your shop it will keep the warm or cool air in with the big door open.
