Yes Kojima is one of the few who will take risks and I respect that, I play Death Stranding and I do like the game, Kojima always said in the beginning that Death Stranding is about connecting and using Stick and the Rope. I knew this game was not going to be like Metal Gear but for some reason some Gamer's forget quick.
@MacMan21524 жыл бұрын
@@mohamadmousavi no it is not riskier. it is publisher's money and if he loses all the money it isn't his money anyway. there is literally zero risks for hideo kojima's money.
@mohamadmousavi4 жыл бұрын
@@MacMan2152 No you're completely wrong. considering the cut that a publisher takes from the profit, if a game does poorly it puts the studio in even worse situation than if they self funded and self published it. since not all the money is going to the studio it's very likely that commercial failure would lead to the closure of the studio. The studio might've earned enough to sustain itself if they didn't share profit with a third party publisher. Why do you think most studios that are closed down are the ones that had a deal with a Publisher and failed to meet the sales expectation? because it's riskier. this is also why so many of the studios that felt comfortable staying indie before (like Double Fine and Insomniac) are agreeing to be merged with bigger studios, cause being an indie developer that does deals with publishers is one of the worst position a studio could be at.

Warphead I didn’t like Death Stranding as a whole, either the gameplay or the story. BUT what you wrote there is true. Kojima and his team have some of the deepest understanding of what art is and how it can be used. The man himself understands gaming like anyone else. The message, themes, and art direction of Death Stranding are exceptional and unique, the cinematography is better than 80% of today’s cinema. I've always liked the way Kojima-San talks, he talks in a humble way, trying to be as understanding as possible, and is genuinely excited about his art and wants to give us the absolute best hes got every time he creates something, he never wants to take shortcuts or make compromises, he knows players hates bugs, so he does extensive testing himself to make sure its a finished product. Also gotta understand hes been making games for more than 30 years, before the internet blew up, back when once a game was released, that was the final product. Even if one doesnt like DS, supporting companies like Kojima Productions is important for the future of gaming. If we let Kojima Productions fail, the evil money-greedy companies like Konami, Rockstar, Blizzard, EA, Activision and many others will win.

Wow.. after watching this I will play death stranding once again. Amazing game little confusing at first but definitely worth a 2nd play thru especially now that I know what is going on in this crazy world.
