Hey I have a j35a6. It was bc cams in it and upgraded springs and retainers. I’ve been having a lifter problem almost like lifter tap. Was wondering how I find the torq specs for everything.

when you use bigger cams do you still keep vtec? but now its stronger vtec?

I have a 2000 RL 3.5 the cams are 19 inches center to center. My 3.0 and 3.2 motors the cams are less than 14 inches center to center. Are the 3.5 heads taller hence spreading the cams farther apart?

Your RL has a 90 degree C35 non-VTEC engine while the other two are 60 degree VTEC. Completely different engine architecture hence different cam lengrhs.

Are there any more aggressive cams for J-series out that you could recommend? Goal is a high rpm (~7800) J37 but pointless if it doesn't make power that high. I would of course tap you guys for ported manifolds

Brian crower cams are as good as it gets for hondas, with the exception of toda cams. Supertech with probably be the only valvetrain and pistons manufacturers to be able to take a hard beating at maximum performance.

In what scenario do you guy install the rocker shaft bushings instead of springs?

Whenever the customer buys them 😆 The rocker shaft bushings are really nice but not a huge seller. They make the install a lot easier and help reduce friction.

Good thing is J32A3 & J35A6 are the exact same cylinder head. They share the same casting & part number.
