This man's philosophies, methodology, and explanation is second to none. Christian is always on point. I wish I could just follow him around for a week and absorb his knowledge. I did the upper body workout tonight and it was great. I really felt my body respond to ramping up this way. I got some good volume and decent weight tonight. I typically ramp up to a 5x5 or to a 3x3/ 5x3 on either flat back or incline. This workout is golden, thank you.

This is a common way I and many others have ordered exercises for decades. Christian does a great job with evangelizing and explaining such things. Moving through exercise to exercise with more weight going on the bar. Works with upper and lower. Hang Cleans to Rows to Deadlifts to Rack Pulls for example. Improve the mechanical advantage with each exercise while slowly morphing emphasis. Great way to train. Keeps one engaged and challenged.

I always considered myself a hard gainer, but the reality was I had always had a lousy diet. As soon as I started following the Agoge diet, I started gaining muscle fast!

Great advice regarding the bench press..thankyou buddy

Does anyone know how often this workout should be performed? I've been doing it every other day. Mostly 3 to 5 sets for each press, overhead, incline, flat bench. Too much or too little? I can't find the article that probably went along with this on T-Nation. Any help would be much appreciated.

Is there a link to a website or a spreadsheet you can download that has a template of the entire program somewhere?

The standing press has to be the most neglected movement of push day maybe three of us do it in my gym it’s so simple and important if you’re not doing it, start.

If you just want big shoulders the seated press works better.

This program is for high performance- Standing Press much better for that.
