There is a large criticism of Thomas Sowell, which is that he used no evidence to support anything he ever said. He uses made up situations to argue for his points instead of using real world examples. There is a 2 hour 41 min video created by the you tube channel "Unlearning Echonomics" titled "Thomas Sowell is worse than I thought." If you truly want to hear both sides of the argument, that is the other side against Thomas Sowell.

The proof is in all the videos of journalists interviewing random people who attend these protests against Israel. These students and others aren’t even able to voice what it is they are protesting. They don’t know what Zionism is. They know no details about the war between Israel and Gaza. They don’t know anything about Hamas or Hezbollah or Iran or Houthis. But someone speaks loud through a megaphone and gets attention. One roommate is telling another roommate to come on and see what all the fuss is about. Man Polo, you're just scratching the surface of Dr. Sowell! He's been speaking on these subjects for decades, largely ignored or ridiculed, that have now only been to the forefront in the last decade. He blew my mind the first time I discovered him. His friend, Dr. Walter Williams will also blow your hair back. Sadly, Walter passed away fairly recently and Sowell is still sharp as ever. Check 'em out! Great reaction sir. Love seeing people discover these giants!

As an economics major in the late 80's, I realize now that Tomas Sowell's book, Basic Economics, should have been the textbook for most of the classes I took. I learned more from that one book than I did in 4 years of college about economics.

Dr Sowell is one of the greatest Americans of all time. I had the pleasure of wrapping a Christmas present for him back in the late 90s when I worked at a bookstore. I gushed because I was meeting one of my heroes. I let him know that I had a friend who also held him in high regard and I couldn't wait to tell him that I had met the great professor. Dr Sowell was humble and said "Well there aren't that many of you out there." Made me sad that he felt he didn't have many "fans" out there. He informed me he was a photography buff as well. I saw him once again walking in Palo Alto. Our eyes met, but, I didn't have the guts to say anything to him. I was also late for work 😉 God bless you, Polo You are also a great man, putting yourself out there showing what you believe.

Education is a lifelong journey. Most “college educated” people stop learning after school and remain mentally stunted. They’ve been told they’re the smartest, most educated people in society. I know a lot of high school dropouts who can run mental circles around the “ignorant educated” class.

I'm so glad you discovered Thomas Sowell. I can hear the passion on your voice when Thomas says things that resonates with you. Thomas is like the father that we had when we were younger and stubborn that we didn't want to listen to but at the end of the day, he's right!

I first came across an article written by Thomas Sowell when I was in my mid-twenties (working the midnight shift in a military prison in 1990), and then read several of his books (Civil Rights: Rhetoric or Reality?; The Economics and Politics of Race; Race and Culture) and they completely changed my views -- or, rather, confirmed my gut feelings that the dominant culture told me were wrong. I've learned more from reading his books than almost any other author I've read. He should be required reading in High School and College!

I was worked as a carpenter for 40 years, 17 as an apprenticeship instructor. I was surprised at the number of college graduates who came into apprenticeship to earn a living wage, have medical insurance, build retirement and pay off their student debt, because their chosen field didn’t do those things.
