Safer to do them on the floor if you are going to do them according to Jeff. Personally I still use a bench and never had a problem but I take his point. He is an amazing trainer.

I will use this workout but l sure will drop the sets and reps a bit, or l can keep it like this but with smaller weights so l can properly do this whole thing. It's a bit too much for a beginner l think tho.

Guys belt is primary for the core to get it more tight and only secondary for the lower back.

Overuse of a lifting belt by using it when not doing heavy exercises such as deadlifts will just result in a weak core.

@binanda it really depends on the person, yep i feel you. It looks a different to wear belt when training these body parts, but in reality it's there for safety and additional strength (core bracing). His pushing moderate to heavy loads at high reps and volume. He will need all the help he can get, especially core stabilty. For shoulders? Try maxing out on ohp's you will definitely need a belt.

I see a lot of comments saying, "That's too hard." Or, "Normal lifters don't need this much volume." This is why you will NEVER see the gains you're looking for. Muscles need to get beat up if you want them to grow and that's a fact. High intensity produces results. But, I'm sure you all know much more than Abel and other athletes that train with high intensity and actually see results lol.

Doing shoulder and biceps on the same day doesn't make sense. Do shoulder with traps. I understand traps are part of shoulders but you have to increase the volume for traps. Also don't do shoulder, the day after you do chest and triceps. Since shoulder involves tricep as well, do those after a day's gap.

DJ-RocketMan I wasn’t critiquing you so much as the guy who made this video. There’s lots of ways to train but if someone is asking about going to failure on bench there probably new and should error on the safe side. Of course with dumbbells you can always bail but a regular bench if you want to go to failure you should have a spot for safety.

you can keep the collars off the bar so as to dumb the weights in an emergency, but still dumb do to. that said i do train alone and do go to failure on bench but then i use a powerrack and set the bars at a level if the weight come down and gets stuck its on the bars set at a height about an inch off my chest and i can push the bar forward and slip out under it. that said im also very mindful of my form so not putting myself at injury

I can and have done but certainly wouldn't recommend it for more than the 30 days in fact unless you have years of lifting experience I wouldn't recommend it at all twice a week at this volume even for the one week else risk injury
