I love watching Davies fighting getting tripped on the third goal instead of doing the typical soccer flop. No complaints , no arms in the air, no giving up, just fighting through then picking himself up off the ground and dishing a beautiful assist to David. Impressive performance all around but really really nice to have two first class players ( Davies and David) up front.

Canada wins 4-0 against Suriname. That ought to shut those Surinamese fans up especially since Canada we won our group and we did it quite dominantly and decisively. Scoring the most goals out of any team in that group and whilst only giving up 1 goal in that group. Now we go on to face Haiti in the 2 leg playoff starting on Saturday when we have to travel to Haiti. Either way I'm excited. We have a chance at redemption especially after what happened 2 years ago in the Gold Cup when Haiti beat us. I tip my hat to Suriname. Gave us quite the scare. I must have missed it. Did Suriname's entire starting 11 of Eredivisie (best league in Europe by the way, MLS is garbage) players get injured in training? That's the only explanation I can think of for a 4-0 loss for a team that was supposed to win anywhere from 2-0 to 7-0. After all, Canada has terrible defense and only 3 players that matter at all.

I just think it's funny how many Suriname fans called Canadians "cocky" for thinking we will win while simultaneously saying without a doubt Suriname will win. Everything I said in my post is based on things I heard Suriname fans say. I doubt I'll see anyone from Suriname post for a while now though. Full credit if they do show up eventually. Can't wait until Saturday.

Mad overestimated Suriname. If everyone other than Davies and David didn't forget their shooting boots at home this would've been another Aruba. Even David missed a guilt-edged chance in the first half. Yes Suriname hit the bar at 0-0 but let's be real they didn't really create a big chance, that shot that hit the bar was a one-time slice from outside that box that would've been an absolute worldie. Their only really good chance was when it was already 2-0 and on a half volley not a super easy finish either. Canada should've spanked this team harder, but obviously very happy with the 4-0.
