Gentlemen, What a fantastic film. This wasn’t a hiking documentary, this was a movie. I fell in love with each and every “character” and their stories. Kudos to all of you guys. Stay strong, and thank you very much for your service and hard work. 🙏🏼 I felt so good after watching this film. Im really psyched to hike this trail with my new Z-pack, next season. Let me suggest to you, some favorite hikes: Trans-Zion hike, the Ruby Crest Trail, and R2R2R. See you folks on the trail. Bravo to you and Peace ✌️

Great Production level. As a videographer myself its good to see filmmakers making videos about the wilderness, people and hiking as apposed to hikers making videos. Both are great I'm just happy to see another level of story telling. The world needs more like it.

My brother and I first attempted the Highline route back in 1997 via east to west and were forced to bail out down Lake Fork drainage because we were not “making time” due to torrential monsoon. I finally hiked and completed the route solo in 2016 via Hayden Pass to Fox Lake then dropped into the north slope and Island Lake and finished up via Spirit Lake. (~70miles). An interesting side note : on my hike I came across two different men that were trail running who were both in Owyhee Basin, but not together. The second one said he had started at Chipeta Lake and was shooting for sub 24 hours and a finish at Hayden Pass. The first man I came across was Davey Crockett, he's actually pretty famous for his immense long distance runs. But this day he was just on a casual stroll, he had started at Moon Lake and had run about ~15-17 miles when I came across him. He stopped and we conversed for maybe 10-15 minutes. Then he proceeded up Owyhee to the second unnamed lake and built a cairn in memory of a friend that died in an avalanche that previous winter (if I remember right) and turned around and passed me and continued to run 15 miles back to his car. If you check his blog for his runs in August 2016 logs, you see his description of encountering me. 😂 It's truly surreal seeing men running by you deep in the wilderness with nothing. I told the second guy that I had deep appreciation for his endeavors and that I thought people such as himself were truly gifted and that for me it was just like free soloing big walls, he said “thank you.” The Highline is up there in my greatest accomplishments along with climbing Prodigal Son on Angels Landing in Zion in 36 hours car to car. Also climbing Spaceshot on The Leaning Wall also in Zion in 3 days(😂). Both capsule style. :-) Spaceshot was our first wall and we summited January 1, 2003. A beautiful 50 degree winter day and not a soul in the park. Maybe two cars drove through all day. There was not even anyone on Moonlight Buttress. I climbed the final pitch above earth orbit ledge and my bro followed. When he reached the summit and we surveyed our precarious perch, we were absolutely blown away with what we had accomplished and what the previous decade had finally culminated in. I knew we had finally arrived. On another tremendous adventure we climbed The Exum Ridge on the Grand Teton,it started to snow as we were a hundred feet below the summit in August. 😂 A true adventure climb we did was the east face of Storm Mtn. in UT in 23 hrs car to car, truely epic. To end this long ramble, the best free climb we ever did was The Lowe route on the Question Mark Wall in Lone Peak Cirque. The last pitch will not be forgotten. Please understand I'm not on an ego trip and bragging about my accomplishments, but a man that is reminiscing of his brother, a brother I'm proud to have called a friend. Brother, though you were not with me physically on the Highline, you walked by my side every foot of all 370,000 feet. Thank you. We miss and love you so much bro. Belay on ! ! !
