Hi, I'm obese too. I started cutting back on carbs and adding more vegetables and fish to my eating plan. I have been doing HIIT and Metcon training for 8 months and lost 35 lbs. Also, Metcon workouts make me look a lot smaller/leaner. I do occasionally put in a few 'fat burning' words just because sometimes people do put in a search for those types of workouts but yes, you are right that movement and exercise should be about getting healthy and enjoying ourselves during the process. I see exercise to be just as important for our mental health, as our physical health.

I love this workout - I do it at least a couple of times a week. I started with the 10 min BeeGees on Feb 15 and have done different ones 6 to 7 times per week. I love this one in particular.

This one is one of the toughest on my channel so if you're doing it twice a week, along with other workouts on other days, I am sure you are starting to see some positive changes. I did one of the other HIIT with 30 sec intervals an then this one. Great workout. I am 76 and have had open heart surgery to remove a tumor and have recently been diagnosed with high fracture risk osteoporosis. Really important to keep up the workouts. I have just started yours a month ago and really like them. So motivating the time just flies. Thank you.

Wow, that was tough one Jukes! I sure was sweating after this workout. My husband heard me huffing and puffing during the jogging intervals and came and checked on me. I thought shoveling snow this morning was tough but I love how you encourage us to keep pushing. Got through it though. Not bad for a 71 year old with a bad hip and back. This is series 4 so yes, it is one of the toughest interval training workouts I have on my channel. With each series, I made the intervals more challenging. Hi, Jules. This is a great option. I tried Option #1 and found it too easy that I did 60 secs fast instead of 30 secs. I continue to improve my strength especially my upper body. Thanks mate.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I spent two months backpacking in NZ back in '99 and went back again for 3 weeks in 2004. I definitely plan to return (hopefully in 5 years time). I have such great memories from being there. Thanks for letting me know that you're enjoying my workouts!

This is one of my most challenging workouts. Stick with what you know works for you and your knees. If you have bad knees, I would suggest sticking with the gentle or beginner workouts (this one is in the intermediate level category). Loved it just now. A request please? Could you please do a series 5 with a full 7-day programme? That would help people like me a lot. My sister-in-law did the Series 3 every week for 4 weeks continuously and she can see the results. So a 7-day series 5 would be wonderful. Thank you.

Hi! I will have to give that A LOT of thought. I would love to...it's just a matter of me finding the time to do so (work full-time, have young kids, etc.) But, I will see what I can do. I'll have holidays coming up over Christmas which might give me time to have a new series out for the New Year. Thank you for the request (and the challenge!). 😉 In the meantime, I'd like to recommend for weekly plan: do 2 days of intervals (choose any of the interval days that challenge you), 2 days of strength training, and 2-3 days of 20-40 minute workouts. This will also give you results since it follows the same type of schedule.

So soon I’ll be starting this series! You mentioned in the description to do two days strength. On those days I’d skip cardio do a warm up and cool down and do full body upper and lower? Maybe a stretch video?

It really depends. You can do 2 days of upper body, and 2 days of lower body, OR do two full body strength workout days a week. It's beneficial to do cardio every day but it all depends on your goals, how much time and energy you have, etc. I usually do my strength workouts after my cardio workout but you can do it the opposite way as well. Stretching after is definitely beneficial.
