Hi. This is a brilliant workout. Started with 20 min one at 14 mph (top speed of treadmill).. But treadmill does not incline its just constant 2 degrees. Moved on to this one can't do them all at 14 mph yet. But when I can will move to the 30 min one. Mixing it up with bit of sedate boxercise in the 90 seconds. Thanks for this. It's a great addition to my lockdown walks and a change from boring 5k on treadmill. A.

@AbundantYou4 жыл бұрын
Hey Amie! Have you downloaded my E-Book yet? Combine this hiit workout with the following to make it most effective.. 1- do it when you are fasting, I recommend first thing in the morning. 2- be in bed and asleep before 10pm, getting at least 7-9 hours of good quality sleep. 3- lift weights at least three times a week doing progressive overload with workout variations. 4- cut the refined sugars and added sugar out of your diet, while eating tons of antioxidants & fiber in veggies and fruit. 5- work on your stress levels - physically, chemical and emotional. I recommend you make time daily to De-Stress by doing things YOU love. 6- Have graditue for everything you have in your life, even the small things we often take for granted. Following a postivie attitude on life. 7- Drink lots of purified water, roughly half your weight in ounces per day, in 10 oz increments.

@Shilpa910004 жыл бұрын
Hey doc, I just discovered Hiit recently and had been going at it with my own ways. I had been doing 6kmph walking pace for two mins then 30-45 secs of 2kmph sprints until it's 15 minutes then i take a 5 minute break doing nothing and repeat the same thing again for another 15 minutes. After watching your videos I'm just wondering if not having rests and walking on 6kmph is maybe too much and not much of a rest.
@AbundantYou4 жыл бұрын
Hey Shipa91000. Great question. One of the biggest mistakes people make during HIIT workouts is they don’t push themselves hard enough during the actual HIIT interval each round. A big reason people don’t push themselves hard enough comes down they don’t recover FULLY, and/or have their HIIT intervals or workout too long. I would adjust your workouts so they follow a 1 to 3 ratio or 1 to 4. Let me know how it goes!
@Shilpa910004 жыл бұрын
@@AbundantYou OMG doc I just re-read my message and realised that I missed the "1"for 12! So what I had been doing is 6kmphr walks then 12 kmph sprints for 30-45 secs.

Better to do this in the AM before eating? And what foods should I be eating, protein and carbs? I don’t have much fat on my body apart from my gut. And desperately need to shift it also the warm up before needs to be done after the workout right? And would it be advised to maybe lift weights to retain muscle on the off days where I’m not doing this? I have had a treadmill for years but it has never worked finally got it working so if you could reply a lot of questions but all worth knowing :) ty
@AbundantYou5 жыл бұрын
I always do my workouts in the AM before eating. Fasting before a workout has many weight loss benefits, especially pulling fat from your gut. The warmup should be done before the workout. You definitely still want to be lifting weights and doing other types of exercise training in addition to your HIIT workouts. Variety is crucial when it comes to peak fitness. Most of my patient do Keto Cycling, or just stick to eating wholefoods that they enjoy. I don't get into counting macro nutrients or calories. I tell my patients if they want to count anything. Count the number of different nutrients they are getting each day. Strive to taste the rainbow, and no, i'm not talking about skittles :)

@AbundantYou5 жыл бұрын
Hey Sandra! I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like your body is being overworked, and can't meet up to the demands. I would recommend you take some time to rest your shins for another 2 weeks and then start back up with the HIIT workouts at a gradual pace. I would push yourself at a level 5 out of 10 max for awhile until your body adapts and you can handle more. In the meantime, walking and other weight training, yoga, low-intensity exercises are fine. I would also consider doing your HIIT workouts on a Bike as well as the treadmill. Cross training will prevent over training the same muscle groups and can speed up your fitness results. Keep me updated! Good luck

Hey Michelle! Great question, the amount of calories you burn really depend on your speed, incline, and fitness level of doing this workout. You can expect to burn 8-12 calories per minute give you a total burn of 200-300 calories for this 25 minute routine. However, don't forget Michelle! The magic happens in HIIT workouts afterwards!!! The after-burn affect of HIIT workouts are unparalleled to low intensity steady state exercises.

@AbundantYou4 жыл бұрын
Hey! If it’s your first time, I would walk for 10 minutes first and then follow along with the workout to your tolerance. If you can only make it 4 rounds. That’s still great. Make sure to not push yourself too hard being your first time. Shoot for a 5/10 max effort for a month or two. You can always increase your speed and effort as you get more experience and endurance. Also, anytime after these HIIT workouts you should stretch your tight muscles and give them 24-36 of rest before doing the workout again.

Hi just a question about your speed on the treadmill you say miles per hour but I think that is incorrect you must mean kilometres per hour? Because when you first put your speed at 5 miles per hour you are doing a nice casual walk 5 miles an hour is just over 8 kilometres per hour? Even when 12 miles an hour you claim actually over 19 km an hour that is a sprint. Can you please confirm you're correct speed?

Hey Tyler! Thanks for giving this workout a try! Make sure to start slowly and don’t over do your HIIT workouts. Maybe start with 5-7 mph for your sprint segments. HIIT workouts should not be performed more than 2-3x a week, with at least 24 hours between exercise sessions. So be careful to not over train as a beginner. You can mix up your HIIT choices to avoid over-training and overuse injuries and to keep things fresh and interesting.
