Hiking And Camping In Miserable Weather!

A trip to the Bridge of Orchy near Tyndrum for a wild camp on some new Munros.
I finished work and headed straight up the A84 and A82 until I reached the Victoria bridge car park which is part of the West Highland way!
The hike was set at a fast pace until of course I caught up with Monty. We spent time discussing where to pitch the tents and how we would bag Stob Ghabhar. The weather was bad pretty much the vast majority of the trip but we managed to keep ourselves going.

This trip was filmed in May with Monty. Good wee route and nice to finally see the waterfall on Stob Ghabhar too. Would recommend it to anyone watching. Maybe see you in the comments👍

just finished watching Monty's vid and thought, oh wonder if there will be a Gaz one. Yep two in one day, awesome. Even with the cloud etc the scenery is still awesome, thanks for putting the effort in to get the footage, looking forward to more in the future.

I’ve started making my own meals on camping trips as long as the route is not too big. Never tried the hotpack meals. I probably should of took something warm to eat on this trip when I think about it. ATB Gaz

It’s a very nice tent mate. Very quick to pitch which helps on the hills. Space inside is the best part for me. ATB Gaz

Thankfully had enough wind to avoid the midges. Even lower levels had none but this was filmed in May before it gets really bad with the midges. ATB Gaz

Cheers Graham, I would recommend the tent for sure. Some nights I have condensation other nights I don’t. Conditions play a big part in it. Hilleberg are known for condensation issues but I find the Southern cross 1 to be a lot worse than the two Hillebergs. ATB Gaz
