Trust me man. As a raging hippie, never feel guilty for finding a moment separate from the what we’ve been seeing to…especially if it makes us feel at peace and still in the now. Screw the “what they think if hear this” just be you and enjoy that now. You’re more of an inspiration than you know, and from my part thank you for giving me the drive to step out of my head and enjoy some great times camping. Keeping plodding dude, you’re a gooden 🙏🏻✨

Great episode as usual Paul. A quick suggestion for your hands. Immerse them in ice water for about 5 minutes every day, starting with a minute, and I guarantee they won't stay cold for long after swimming. I used to get white finger after my ice bath but don't anymore. It works. Feet as well.

I'm a 56 year old woman who's seen and felt a lot of life, I'm certain there's still more learning, pain and love to come. You touched me quite unexpectedly when you sat afyer your first dip. A friend once told me many years ago when I was deep in grief that 'Everything passes. The good passes and the bad passes'. It's just knowing to take one day/step at a time and expect no miracles of yourself. Be strong if you feel like it and be vulnerable if you're feeling it. Much love to you. xx

That bog is a metaphor for dealing with mental health, you fall in it, struggle to get out and then do it all again knowing full well what will happen until you realise you don't have to stay on the same path, the struggle is real 😊

I was a man of the great outdoors mate, stayed in a tent for 8 months in the west Highlands of Scotland when I was younger, loved my fishing etc then boom! Blood cancer in the spine took my mobility and that's where you come in my friend! We all get mixed up in the nut but we're all still getting on. So head up and stride them hills for me and all your followers. You're a breath of fresh air brother. Big Love from Alka in Dalkeith ❤

For someone who suffers terribly with depression and anxiety, your honesty and openness is wonderful. I think we all put on that damn mask way too often just so we don’t upset others or put them in an awkward place because they don’t know how to deal with us when we are honest about how we feel. In my opinion I do this as it’s the easy option but at the end of the day it doesn’t help me pretending I’m someone I’m not. But since I have tried to be ‘me’, I’ve lost a lot of ‘friends’ and that hurts. I’m rambling but I totally understand you. You help others with your openness so thank you 🙏 x

Sending big love to you mate , you don’t see us who watch but we are all here for you and anyone who wants to talk, perhaps there should be a walk & talk group to encourage people to get out and talk . 👊🏻

Hiking A-B is fine, but walking A - 'wherever' is so much more refreshing and rewarding. I feel so much better after a 'walkabout' than when I have to walk to a plan. There's an expectation when hiking a planned route and a certain feeling of failure if you don't "get the miles in". But 'walkabout' is a feeling of freedom and pitching when you feel like it. There's a better, closer connection to the world and nature when you simply take the time out to enjoy it. Keep on keeping on Hazey, you got this.

Ffs - I’m sat here watching this taking so many deep breaths, as I know damn right I feel the exact same head issues recently, not recognising it kicked back in a few months ago. It’s a life long battle that I have been fairly good at keeping on top of by properly disconnecting and going out into nature like yourself. Can’t thank you enough for reminding me of the best way to work on it. What a lad! 👍

Big applause for your authenticity and vulnerability. Bottom line is we all have mental health just as we have physical health and we have to find ways of looking after both. Excellent. You're really good at making brilliant films showing the immense scenery and how it feels to be teetering on the edge mentally but then clambering your way back, so it's really weird to see you being upset about silly people not giving you enough style points for falling into a pond. I'd be quite interested in your suggestion about your thoughts on self help etc, if you feeling like making a video about that, but I don't think you should be apologising for not making enough videos often enough. How *you* feel about making a video or not is the only thing that matters.

Nice one Paul, I don’t know how you’d label your down periods but Churchill referred to his periods of depression as the ‘black dog’. What I do know is every time I read through the comments on your videos there’s an absolute mountain of goodwill behind you and I’d really hope that gives you support. Stay strong and keep up the good fight ❤
