With all that rain, I'm sure it's the Lake District in disguise. Ah & little Otto with his chips 😍. Melted my heart. Lovely video Elli xx

I came out of my studio quite frustrated, because the picture that I was working on was becoming awkward, but when I saw your posting that was enough to clear my mind. It was lovely to see you with your dad, and the scenery has improved much ; it's a shame that you had to suffer with the heavy rain but that umbrella did keep you quite dry. It was a pity that you didn't get one for Otto. Credit to the chap who was friendly to yourself and Otto. It makes a big difference for you, I think. It's strange but this hike seems to be unusually void of people - the villages and streets and tracks seem to be empty ! Smashing video . Cheers ! Sheffield South Yorkshire. PS Good decision for the two of you to get a taxi ; you've proved how tough you are !

Thanks so much for these videos Elli! I'll be walking the VDLP/Sanabres from Seville starting next March so it's great to see a lot of the places that I'll be travelling through and staying in. Fun fact, I did the Camino Frances in Sept/Oct and my last day into Santiago was walking through Hurricane Kirk and it was absolutely terrible. You made a wise choice to sit it out. Looking forward to the next video!

Love the green landscape, but it got that way because of the rain :/ Shout out to the albergue in Asturianos - they sound like lovely people 😊 15:10 that bridge looks the same as ancient packhorse bridges in the UK. I guess it's a sensible design which developed in many countries, independently of each other.

Puebla de Sanabria is very close to the mountains of the Sierra de la culebra which is where there is the highest concentration of wolves in Spain. That's why there are so many big dogs guarding livestock in the area. Did you hear any howling at night?

I didn't know that it was this area specifically, but can definitely see why.... so remote, so sparsely populated, dense woodlands 🥰 no, didn't hear them at night!!

Very nice to see your family come together.Did I see momentarily that you were wearing a rain skirt? Nowadays I always use one, I've gave up on rain pants completely about 4 years ago. Pity that Spain is not so dog friendly.

Thank you so much for following along :) Yes, I tried a rain skirt for the first time on a longer hike because I thought it wouldn't rain that much 😅 Definitely quick and easy to put on, but I think I'll go back to rain pants for longer/colder hikes because I like the added layer of warmth that pants provide :)
