Hindu pushups are movement superb. Its a multifunctional exercise to improving your strength, mobility, and flexibility. Push-ups on the other hand are floor alternative to bench press but using gravity to advantage. I would preferably do hindu pushups instead of standard pushups. Combine exercises like hindu squats and bent over row- tricep extensions (w/dumbbell or resistance bands -lightweight first-) you can get a perfect workout in. I like your video as always.

Hear is the simple explanation Regular push up Traget Mainly Pectoralis Major and Minor i.e Chest muscles While Hindu Push up Tragets Mailny Upper Trapazius and Anterior and medial Deltoid i.e Shoulder and collar. Hence Both exercise are very different.

The big difference is that regular pushups work your mid pecs and triceps harder, while Hindu pushups build your lower and upper pecs more and increase the intensity on your upper trapezius & rhomboids.

Dude, regular push ups are so basic and intuitive that they have probably been around since before even civilization. So it's the other way around. Hindu push ups are probably a more "sophisticated" version of regular push ups, in order to make them more versatile and provide a holistic workout.

Strange, I STRONGLY experience the exact opposite. Regular push-ups are considered an elementary body weight exercise whereas Hindu push-ups are seen as more intermediary or advanced/difficult. And I feel like that’s true for doing 1 or a small number of reps - doing a Hindu push-up is not something everyone can do, whereas you could expect anyone to do 1 push-up. But because the Hindu push-ups have a sense of flow to them and yo ur e not working vertically against gravity every single rep, it gets easier for higher reps - I can actually do more of those than regular push-ups, and doing high reps of regular push-ups (30 in a row is high for me) feels violent on my shoulders whereas high reps of Hindu push-ups feels healthy and my shoulders feel nice and flexible afterwards. I would like to replace the standard push-up in my workouts with the Hindu push-up, I enjoy them a lot more and they seem to do all the standard push-up does and MORE (not only work your shoulders, chest, and arms but good for shoulder mobility, spinal flexibility, hamstring flexibility). But the standard push-up is seen as such an elemental body weight exercise - maybe I shouldn’t stop doing them. That’s why I’m searching videos like this

I DO 4 SET OF 5 REPS OF BOTH HINDU PUSH UP AND BEFORE THAT DO THE SAME SET AND REPS OF REGULAR PUSH UPS. AND IF YOU ARE STILL IN DOUBT, AFTER REGULAR PUSH UP, DO 30 TO 40 REPS OF THE CRISS CROSS MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS, HANUMAN DAND AND THEN HOP IN TO THE HINDU PUSH UP. THIS IS WHAT I FOLLOW AND BY THIS I DON'T FEEL ANY SEVERE PAIN IN MY SHOULDERS.

I do this alternate days. One day Hindu Pushups and another day regular pushups My experience : Normal Pushups repetitions increased due to Hindu Pushups. Conclusion : Hindu Pushups for overall body and Strength. Normal Pushups for biceps and Chest mostly.

@@AlexM-vh2pu For biceps I do closed grip push ups where I adjust the movement of my elbows in such a way that it will affect my biceps. I use a table for a slant position which pressures the biceps. Yes , it will not grow biceps , but it will pump and keep in good shape (based on your past work outs on the biceps dominantly)
