I have been doing this video a couple times a week for the past 2 months and it has literally changed my life! I was unable to move my right hip at all without experiencing sharp pain in my hip joint. I’ve been slowly seeing the healing process work and now I can actually sit in a double pigeon without any pain! Who knows how much I would’ve spent on physical therapy to gain my mobility back. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart

I have hip imbalance from a childhood injury. It makes running more challenging and I feel it in any standing balance pose, my right is too forward, left too far back. This felt great. 🙏🏽

Can you please show a easier modification to the double pigeon?

At the second half of the video this felt like one of the toughest things I ever did in my life. But right after it I felt great and this helps tremendously to get finally into lotus seat. Cant thank you enough for sharing your knowledge :)

This is so so helpful! I still can’t do the double pigeon variation, but did my best and it made something as simple as sitting with my legs crossed feel so much looser/less pain. Thanks again you both!

You can do 3-4 rounds of butterfly only and leave out the double pigeon variation.

Great video idea! I think this is super important for ppl who weight train as well as do yoga
@BreatheAndFlow3 жыл бұрын
we'd go as far as saying that this is important for anyone that sits a lot as most people do not have a functioning hip, even if you practice yoga asana daily

@@BreatheAndFlow Yes definitely! Very good point. Btw- I just completed this mobility routine and I loved it; I will start incorporating this into my life more often. Thank you! I love your work and your videos because you both are great at explaining and teaching about the biomechanics of the body.

"Use it or lose it!" is that very true credo of movement and the body in general. Now I don't wonder why many elder people walk and move as they do after a life of very constricted, repeated movement. I want to be mobile when I'm old.

Great video, thanks. Are you able to post the links to the internal hip rotation and the two other hip mobility videos? I am incredibly stiff in my hips. I can manage the first exercise but I am nowhere near to getting into double pigeon. My top leg won’t go anywhere close to the bottom leg. I know that’s ok but I feel it would help my overall practice if I could open up my hips.

They’re not published yet. Internal rotation, flex ion and extension are coming soon 🙏🏽

When I do butterfly my knees are touching the ground and the soles of my feet face the ceiling, is that a problem? Should I press the soles of my feet together? Thanks for the content, came for BJJ and you guys converted me to yoga! Can't wait for the official merchandise
@BreatheAndFlow3 жыл бұрын
keep the soles together. if you do not feel a stretch in the butterfly position then elevate your feet by bringing them on a block. also do the second exercise. see if that all helps!
