The explosion effect is infuriating! Yes it looks good but so much of the core game is an utter mess and yet ED concentrate on BS which looks good on videos...meanwhile we have a damage model the same as Command and Conquer and a mission editor which is awful and planes that can fly with no wings

Shockwave effects look fantastic and we seriously needed them. I hope they add sparkle effect for bullet/Shell impact and vehicle explosion soon.

Especially for steam trains! Get a boiler hit, you need big jets of steam. Also helps finding it after your 180 turn!

Prop wash effects were also introduced in this patch. It’s noted as a WIP but I saw it with the P-51 and grass fields. Very nice!

The first thing I noticed with the update is how much smoother VR is. Before the AV8B and JF-17 were silky smooth, but now the F-1 is too (which I have had perf issues with before). I’m excited to try the F-1BE, the worst one for performance, and see how much it’s improved

I will agree with that about the VR i was just happy with the patch allowing my vr to just work. as i had just reinstalled windows the day before and thought i would have re setup vr

I'm not interested in the f4 but when the CH-47 is released ill be a happy sim pilot . i don't think a small update is a bad thing it means the list of things needed is getting smaller . also a small update is easier to patch if it has bugs that don't show up with the test group. If you drop a 10g update an something goes wrong good luck finding where the bug is fast an if it takes to long to fix that = angry customers an we know how quickly people jump on ED's case when ever they find any little thing .again the razbam thing is nothing to worry about i only have the AV8B from them but ED is not going to leave us high an dry . .i guarantee this . if razbam loses there mind an leave or what ever ED will do right by us . i 100% believe that an have no worry's at all

Quite usual of me to find out about a patch is out on youtube. The whole F-15SE issues has really dampen my enthusiasm in dcs laterly. I will download the patch update and check out the bomb effevt on the vegetation. Thanks Andre.

The latest update is certainly lacking on new features, but frankly the amount of fixes is totally fine. It also makes sense to stabilize software from time to time before adding new features. The INS feature for the F-16 is weird though, it's so unclear what really changed, no explanation from Wags, and the newsletter just contained some general explanation of INS and GPS with a strange fixation on the Kalman filter, which is a cool but also a really well-known and common algorithm.

@@LEAD-DISPENSER It is Sad ED hates the Model that much. It seams like they hate the entire Huey community too. The Forum is run with a Iron Fist for the UH-1H section. Bug fixes for Years go overlooked yet they are happy to take your money for the Model. The New Update made a Fun night of uh-1h flying last night in VR Good Patch update for the game.

When I read "New Explosions", I thought it was actually NEW explosion particle effects, but it's just added shockwave effect on the old explosions :(. Cool effect, but was still really hoping ED would redo the explosion effects and gun impacts for a while now.

ED still didn't fix the freeze and CTD BUG if you take off your VR Quest for even one second.. I had to tape my VR goggle sensor with a small opaque sticker to "getto fix" this issue.
