Love this vid!! I have a deep love for Hippos, and I totally squeed when I saw them!! I know they are dangerous, but they are amazing animals.

This reminds me of Rwanda last year at Akagera National Park, when we stopped to see the hippos. The babies where along the lake beach and as soon as they saw us all the adults surrounded them to protect their babies.

135+ vlogs, I watched many of them in order but I have also watched newer stuff too, and I was starting to think this would never happen. Kara was up to grab the coffee from you. Guessing Simon corrected you on Tuk Tuk Nate, a rickshaw is human powered oh yeah and on a different continent.

I love/respect hippos (like I do grizzly bears) but, omg, it would be so funny to watch Kara whack a hippo with her coffee cup, it would become a meme "I haven't had enough coffee to deal with you yet"

I'm a bit late to the vlog but I have to say the widowmaker shower is no joke. I showered with one for years while I lived in Guatemala. One day it caught fire while I was showering under it. Happy to say I wasn't electrocuted. I'd happily shower with one everyday if it meant I could live there again. It was wonderful despite the scare.

Seriously yesterday was so fascinating! Now on to helping with the clinic! Is Nates mom a Dr? Or how did you all get involved with this? Love you guys

2:36 Water hyacinth. My heart always breaks when I see it... it's an invasive species originating from South America, but which chokes and deoxygenates waterways around the world.
