Lovely presentation! Such healthy food. Loved the salmon tartare on a bed of cucumber, with some Masago on top, yum! I would have added a dribble of a light, lemony sauce on top. Perhaps Yuzu mayonnaise or lemon oil, something to tie it all together. It felt a bit bare and Zen.
@sunshowerpainting13 жыл бұрын
Excellent and thank you..... To add a salty garnish with a few sprinkles of soy might be the ticket or perhaps a few flecks of seaweed salt. 🙏🏼

Thank you guys for showing us how to do these recipes with everyday items, it's hard where I am currently to get a lot of unique food items so it's nice to see awesome recipes that can be made from almost entirely generic grocery store items. You are so right btw, the sesame oil you use I have been buying for a year now and I love the stuff. Heck you can add a splash or two with some hot oil and really perk up even a cup of noodles with it.
@johannawei46896 жыл бұрын
That just looks amazing!!! Just tiny question... I suppose you'd find this sort of dish nowadays in the modern Japan, but is this something that's been around before the western influence? Or is there a traditional dish similar to that? I guess donburi would be some equivalent? Sorry if this is not a technical question or something, I'm just so fascinated by Japanese culture and the development of it that's why I'm asking :)
