He didnt cheat onhim or ghost him, he asked to break up respectfully thats a difference, id rather someone honestly leave me if they are doubting our relationship than just ghost me, that makes it feel at least a bit better, you arent wondering why they left etc, he left and ended up having a kid and came back when he finally had his priorities straight thats fine. Yall always assume leaving someone is cheating or ghosting but the writer stated thats not the message or what happened. Please maybe go deeper into the meaning of scenery he didnt leave him to be with someone else either, it just happened after he left when he went to discover himself for the better. I would rather be in a true relationship than one where my lover doubts they still love me. Use your common sense.

As many times I watched this I still get mad! How can you break up with someone then come back years later on his doorstep with a kid. Then the part that got me was him coming right on in making himself at home like that’s his second home! No warning or anything just popped when he wasn’t home! Don’t bum rush yourself back into that person’s life after breaking their hearts. That’s just messed up.

They finally talk it all out - he tried to play it straight but, he couldn't and knew where he needed to be. The film is so well done. Even the background characters (the village) is wonderful.
