Well, as a Brazilian, this whole idea sounds incredibly appealing! It's not every day you see someone tackling our history through a full megacampaign. I do have a couple of questions, though. How do you handle the transition from game to game, especially when it comes to the monarchs? In EU4, the ruler feels more like a stat boost, whereas in Victoria 3, leadership takes on a more nuanced role-especially since my man Pedro II won’t be around as Emperor anymore! 😂😂 Also, do you plan on sticking closely to history, or will you take some creative liberties? For example, will you follow the historical path and turn Brazil into a republic, or are you tempted to rewrite history and maybe keep the monarchy alive? Either way, I'm really excited to see how you shape the future of Brazil across these games. Best of luck, and I’ll be watching to see if our Giant of the South gets the spotlight it deserves!

I'm SO happy to have a Brazilian watching! Thanks! Things in ALL the Paradox games tend to go completely sideways, but I *TRY* to stay as historically accurate as I possibly can. Where it deviates, I will usually explain why and it's nearly always due to some difficult mechanic. For example, in Victoria 3, it was practically IMPOSSIBLE to have the Bourbons STAY in power, THEN be deposed, and THEN have Louis Napoleon III seize power all within the ridiculously tight time-frame that happened in it, but DAMMIT I TRIED! LOL. I do NOT attempt alt-history at all though, in fact I despise it. So I will ABSOLUTELY make the best attempt I can to be as true to history, good bad and/or ugly! Thanks again for watching!

EU4 (like you mentioned) is EXTREMELY hard to focus on the actual rulers. Some events will help, but my England-to-America series I ended up with like King Henry the 13th or some nonsense like that. So with EU, it's much more about boundaries, colonies, techs, etc. I've ALSO found (with nearly all the games) that sticking to the pure timeline will mean my absolute destruction. If you let the AI alone for too long, they get insanely difficult. So I decided that where I cannot be PRECISE on the timeline, I will be as close to the ORDER of events as possible.

@@AdmiralJediPDX Thanks for the response! I can totally see how tricky it is to stick to history with Paradox games, especially when the mechanics just don’t cooperate. I’m really looking forward to seeing how you handle Brazil. Our history is such a wild mix-going from a colony to an empire, navigating the influence of Portugal, and then the short-lived empire. There’s so much to dig into with diplomacy, industrialization, and even the abolition of slavery. I can imagine Victoria 3 will make managing the provinces and dealing with the coffee barons and military a real challenge when it comes to translating that into game mechanics. Hope for the best! Are there any mods you're using so you can make Brazil explorable? Also, i'm a brazillian too 😅

Thanks for watching! No, in CK3 I'm playing Portugal only. Once I transition to EU4 of course I plan on (historically of course) opening up Brazil and eventually transitioning there entirely for Victoria 3 and HOI4. Let me know if I screw anything up! =)
