We start a series of podcasts on the history of the Indian sub-continent. The series, in the spirit of all things Brown Pundits, will have unconventional yet authoritative voices. The aim of the series is to have a point of view(s) unencumbered by the baggage of ideology. We will shed light on the obscure aspects and cover the more popular narratives without the pressures of political correctness.
In the first episode, Maneesh Taneja is in conversation with Dr. Omar Ali, Shrikanth Krishnamachary, and Gaurav Lele. We take 30,000 feet view of the history of the sub-continent. Our panel talks about, among other things, the early Indians, what holds 3000 years of uninterrupted civilization together, the origins of popular Indian dishes namely Idli & Dosa, and discover the links between Bharat Muni’s Natya Shastra and Dev Anand.

@@Bronsonnarrator that's factually wrong. N number of institutions exist in india (including academic institutions) where vernacular language or hindi is the preferred language over English. Also there are plenty of grammatical errors in the shit you wrote.

@@Desi.Superman why are you writing in Roman letters and English then, write in devnagri and Hindi. Does it matter if I have grammatical mistakes as long as you understand what I just said ? India is large country where English is much more prefered language institutionally, academically and economically as English is much more valuable than any language in India, that's the fact. There is a reason why every indian upper class speaks and learns English no matter what field they are in or which part of India they are from. Don't bring emotions into the truth. If you really believe Hindi is valuable then why did you learn English in first place, as you have much better grammer than me? Hindi has no real value except for area around Delhi, up, Bihar and mp where sultanate and mughal rulers had major influence, rest of places people prefer regional languages than hindi
