That is in part consumer fault, people where too happy about digital products, now all companies have the policy thay says you dont own the product just the right to have a copy that can be removed at any time, this also makes production costs to shift and since many are just using the services for all the "free" games there is no need to add disc drives, remember when people say "Sony", "Microsoft", "Xbox", etc... Tend to forget marketing, gane design, and tech department are not the same people... The ones developing the consoles are not the same that develop the games and mostñy communicate with the marketing team since they have already the tech knowledge to create the console, the price of components matters not and that inflates prices, the design teams have no say in it, perhaps if people where more informed as customers the complains woukd reach the right way. There is a simple way to help with this, inform people and dont buy the console, PS5 is enough to run all things on the sony side. Dont go complain about the Pro just dont buy it that sends a bigger and more clear message to the marketing team and sends some more sense to the tech department about the components for the next console. There is also the "Gamer Elitism" for higer fps and bigger realistic graphics, that makes companies buy expensive components that are capable of that at higher levels, we dont need higher fps, or higer resolution we need to invest in game design, gameplay options and good narratives when it applies...

Nintendo doesn't compete with Sony. Nintendo makes really fun 16 bit games for their handheld consoles, and have incredible intellectual properties. Sony makes state of the art next generation consoles and games, and creates some masterpiece games most of the time... Concord excluded.

And the switch 2 will play them all. And obviously their exclusives are some of the best games around. Let's see what the Switch 2 does Also I prefer my switch to my ps5 on many situations. Doom with Gyro beats Doom on PS5 hands down as it doesn't have that accuracy. Any game that is easier pick up and play ill use the switch. The only time I use PS5 is for those that don't run well on switch. That's about to be fixed

@@Viz79 I prefer Switch and Nintendo overall over Sony since 2018 but they must put some decent horsepower into the new console to entice third party developers, I remember playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 back in 2017 and for it to run at resolution below 480p in handheld mode forcing me to dock it, so yes they do have some great IPs and games but they do need decent horsepower as well for third party and some of their own first party games to run well.
