They've gone all in on the super-high-fidelity cutscene-heavy third person action games as their brand, and it's a solid brand, but unfortunately it's also incredibly time consuming and expensive to do that, so they only make, like, one game a year now. Naughty Dog, one of their star studios, hasn't made a PS5 game that isn't a remaster in the entire time the console's been out.

For anyone wondering about Project Wingman, it was an Ace Combat inspired game that was released as a PC game that was funded via Kickstarter. It seems after release that they got an exclusivity deal with Playstation for DLC to show off the PSVR. However, several people took exception to that, myself included as it lost the spirit of the development and left out its primary audience; it didn't do so well.
