I never got your engine mod set up. What are you running in your VR6 Jetta? My Opinion and let me know yours, The MKV Jetta was the last generation when the body looked unique and had personality. The MK6 and 7 looked like a Corolla with a VW badge on it.

My engine setup is pretty simple. Auto tech 262s, reflect tuning chip, lightweight pulleys, cone filter, magnaflow cat, 2 1/2in piping, magnaflow muffler, and lower intake manifold spacer. As far as how the new cars look yeah things have all gotten super generic and boring sadly. Mk4 gli with the wheels, body kit, interior, etc was killer. I don’t hate the newer Jettas but there’s just no soul to them really. They can look cool but there’s just not the support of cool/rare parts the older cars had.

@@Mk3Smith You have a cool set up. Auttech 262's are a great all around cam. Good power and great drive ability. My final set up for my 1995 OBD 1 MKIII GLX VR6 Jetta was this. Alan aka YellowSLC(from VWVortex)P&P BVH 41/39mm the valves coated with a heat reducing element as well(I believe it's been a while), MKIV Head gasket, GIAC Chip(hmmm Reflect Tuning figure it's a newer chip company does it make more power than a GIAC), Dougherty Racing 268 Racing cams(said to be better same lift as Schrick 268's for about $600 less than Shrick 268's), Shrick VGI Intake Manifold, Phenolic Intake manifold spacer, UR all 3 pulleys replaced by light weight ones, Autotech 10lb. flywheel, 3.94 Final Drive, Turn2 CAI, 2.9L Euro Throttle body, Neuspeed exhaust, and a crappy Bosal header I wasted money on. My plans after that were going to be to Port and gasket match the lower intake and exhaust manifolds which usually was said to give around 6-10whp depending on the set up. For my suspension it was Bilstein lowering springs and struts. Great buy by the way at the time. Yes, my Jetta was my baby. Yet right before I moved to Texas its suspension broke and I was like I'm so finished. I wish now I could have saved her, as I miss her. It was a fun car. I'd cruise around my town in my Jetta while my other friend would cruise around in his modified Black SVT Contour. We were 4 Door Sleepers and had a ton of fun. Thank for your channel.
