Thank you, Matt - these videos are incredibly helpful and packed with great information! But I'd like to mention that I found it difficult to follow what you said a few times, as your voice (or mic) volume dropped to almost 0 for the last few words of a few sentences. It's not a huge deal, but I did have to spend cognition interpreting the words you said, instead of absorbing the meaning of what you said. I can imagine those who are hard of hearing or less fluent in English may struggle likewise, and gain diminished value from the great content you produce. Thanks for your consideration and thanks again for these awesome tutorials!

Why you folks never use Unity instead of UE? It's a much better and easier to use engine for indies than Unreal

1. Quixel is owned by Unreal Engine 2. I disagree

@@kettenotter Well good for you but Unity is still the most popular engine out there and most indie friendly, I'd love to see some tutorials made for it as well.

To be honest Unreal gives more without taking as much financially as Unity. I say that is more indie friendly so i can not agree with your statement. For example if you want to use quixel stuff in your game; if you are using Unreal, everything is free. If you are using another game engine, you also have to pay for license to use quixel stuff(megascans etc.) Also; as long as you do not make more than 1 million $, you dont have to pay royalty fees for Unreal, it is simply free to use. If you earn more than a million, then you pay 5% royalties for your product. Unity is back using subscriptions if i remember correctly, if you are earning over 100k.

@@swordsmancity Unity is also free up to 100k in revenues. If you make that much shelling out 300$ for a software license shouldn't be a problem... Unity's workflow is much easier than UE which is geared towards professional big budget studios. Unity's simplicity has its drawbacks like everything but in the end I and many other indies find it easier to develop as one man team than Unreal.

@@thomasfalcon6350 theres next to no documentation/videos such as this for Unity.... really not much an excuse to use unity over unreal - big or small studio size. just way too many benefits to using unreal
