Great job 👏 on your awesome reviews as always I have now found the perfect unit however does it have any WiFi features I don’t recall any Intel behalf Also can such a unit be double plugged to get 220 Is it possible Or if I bought two units could it then be done Or does such the unit exist as a similar power plant with the concept of buying two or one yielding say 7,500 kWh with 220 and WiFi That type of system in the Travato I’m looking for the best of the best with a 100 amp or 200 amp output with up to two 220 spots and a dozen 110 with 3-30 amps and 3-15’s and 2-10 and a 5 plus usb and 12-volts Off grid charged by both panel and 58 volt alternator Money is no consequence THANKYOU brother

Hello HOBOTECH, thank you for the product review. It seems, based on the comments, that a lot of folks get-caught-up in comparing or nit-picking devices against each other. However, you not only provide an excellent analysis of the the product you're reviewing but, you also go to great lengths in explaining who & for what reasons (conditions, environment, etc) the particular product is for! There are several products, as you have previously explained, that are good or not so good for people & different reasons. This is a great product for exactly how you explained it, that is the size & power of the "inverter." Also, it is quite cost effective! Thanks again for your dedication to product review and of course your tremendous insight. 👍🏻

I like your reviews for the level of detail that you put into your videos. You make it easy to digest for those of us who are dyslexic. Also as a mobile power station I could see this being used for people at fairs and festivals who are running computers, laser or inkjet printers, scanners, HD TVs/monitors, projectors (laser, DLP, LCD) and possibly even heat presses for a mobile Print-On-Demand business or service. Or for mobile DJs and VJs to power their gear.

Love the weight factor. Always seems my timing is off every time you find something great. Know there is always something bigger and better around the corner that I can take advantage of once my home base has its improvements. Love the fact I can run heater on it. Normally a 30 min run in the early a.m. is what I need. Though tonight I cross my fingers that Texas power will hold out with the 15 degrees and snow I'm going to get to enjoy tomorrow. I have a little buddy as a back up but with those temps sure it will not keep up. Got everything battened down as best I can and ready.

You can definitely charge this with more than 300 watts. I plugged in 6 solar panels (3 sets of 2 in series, all going into a parallel adapter). I was getting around 500 watts. I even emailed their customer support and asked them about this, a tech (or engineer?) responded with: "Yes, Q3000S supports 400W input, actually the PV input for Q3000S is 29.4~40V, 20A(maximum), theoretically, it support a maximum of 800W input(40V@20A). It reaches the optimal charging performance at 441W(29.4V@15A)"

I'm thinking of doing just that.... how long does it take to charge to full with the 6 (I assume 100 watt) panels?
@michaeleconomides4054
@michaeleconomides4054 2 жыл бұрын
@@LearnToFlyWithPilotGuy Around 6 hours to charge from 0% to 100% when input is ~500 watts. I usually don't drain the battery though, I cycle between 75% and 25%, so it's half (3 hours). This is a underrated solar generator. It's simple to use, compact, and the inverter is very efficient. I have numerous others - Bluetti, Jackary, Hysolis, and the Pecron is one of the best. It's main drawback is the limited input voltage, but it allows high current to overcome this.

Just a heads up Pecron released an updated charger for these units. Charges from the wall at double the speed. 440 watts input. I got one for my Q2000s. That makes this generator so much more usable. They also released an external MPPT for these units as well. I also have it and it's set at a hard limit of 300 watts. I can get 400 watts out of the same solar set up without using the MPPT adapter. I'm sure the MPPT helps my generator in the long run but I need the watts. Lol buy the 440 fast charger and skip the external MPPT controller! Thanks for all the work you put in Hobo!

@69nites
@69nites 3 жыл бұрын
It's a pretty huge one. You're only looking at 1500wh of usable power per day via solar. It's an unbalanced system. It's a 1500w inverter with 300w of charging and 3kwh of battery. The 2kwh version makes a lot more sense unless you're only looking for something you're not going to use for more than 3 days consecutively off grid. The charger to battery ratio is reversed. It's hot garbage for daily use.
@Wingnut353
@Wingnut353 3 жыл бұрын
@@69nites 1500W usable is actually sized correctly..... you should size off grid systems to about double the usage per day both for having reserve power, and not fully cycling the battery constantly. It is still a little lame that it only has 300W in though. An exception to that might be an LTO system since you can cycle that deeper.
@69nites
@69nites 3 жыл бұрын
@@Wingnut353if you intend on relying on solar power you should be able to charge your system with a single sunny day for every 2 cloudy. If you deplete this battery it will take 2 days to charge it without any use in full sun. This might have a use case if it had robust alternate charging via alternator or shore power but you're really just paying for 1kw of batteries you're never going to use because they didn't want to spend an extra 10 dollars on a properly sized charge controller. If you can't keep your system charged reserve power means nothing. In reality this system will almost never be above 50% battery with daily use after the first time you've depleted your battery.

Lithium based batteries can't be used in freezing conditions (or much below freezing for some Lithium chemistries). You're right that sometimes people forget to talk about that in reviews, forgetting that not everyone is aware of this. It should be in your Jackery manual, however (see operating temperatures). One workaround is to keep the batteries warm. Below freezing, I sometimes use a DC-powered electric blanket, loosely wrapping it around the battery bank. Those get hot enough to keep your battery warm in cold weather but shouldn't pose any risk of overheating. The only downside is that the blanket alone consumes 50 Watts. That can eat up your battery capacity pretty quick. Rebel's idea of keeping it in a cooler when not in use can help, depending on how long you're leaving the van unheated. But eventually it will get too cold in the cooler, as well. However, if you're living out of your van and heating up the cabin frequently enough, that could be a workable solution. I'd even throw some warm thermal mass in the cooler with the Jackery, like maybe some warm rocks, which should help buy additional time.
@P_RO_
@P_RO_ 3 жыл бұрын
None of the LiFePO4 based devices can be charged at much below freezing temperatures, and there's a temp limit for discharging too but it's a lot lower. So it's not just the Jackery doing this, but most of these devices. You really need to do your own research on things too, not just listen to what someone else says about them because what matters to you (like low-temp use) may not even be on their radar. As to putting the Jackery in a cooler (insulation) that doesn't create heat to keep it warm and working, it only allows a warm device to stay warm longer- maybe enough if the temps don't get too low or it's not just sitting there in the cold for days. You don't want to leave it in there while using it if that might let it overheat. Best to keep in the house where it will be warm and happy till you need to go portable.
