Hodinkee Limited Editions: Worth It Or Overdone? Review of Autodromo Mint Chronograph

The other colour versions are nods to Group B rally car liveries, so appeal to motorsport fans (the core customer of Autodromo!) The green is a Hodinkee specific special, which is my main gripe with this watch, as the green is the only one which is not aligned with Autodromo. Hence I bought an S4; it’s a reference to the famous Martini livery, a key essence of Group B motorsport. Only motorsport folk get it, and that’s the appeal to me (and everyone else that bought the non-green version!)

totally agree. bought an S4 "Lancia Delta S4" myself, a true Group B colorway. I put it on a black leather autodromo rally-strap and it looks awesome!

Really nice watch! It would have been nice for you to film a little of you wearing it with the bracelet though seeing as how that’s what it comes on. Just to give an idea for what to expect if you buy one .

Hodinkee is now basically “look at what some celebrity you don’t care about is wearing!” They still have their moments but their limited editions are mostly a miss for me. Cool colorway on your example though!

Had the green one since release and I echo the same critiques. Didn't even realize there was lume on this before watching this review 😂

I actually like these watches very much. The colors are very pretty, all of them. I don't care about hodinkee collaboration or tge limited edition thingy, I just find the watches very appealing design and aesthetics-wise

Cash grab no doubt. But the Hodinkee x IWC MarkXVIII was next-level cool... albeit $6.5K cool. So yeah, a cash grab for sure.
