Also, I believe the reason they didn't go through after the portal was generated is that they still had portal cooldown from touching the portal before the other side was generated. That cooldown exists for all entities (except players, which teleport after a countdown instead) and restarts every time the portal is touched.

Tip: Use soul fire to scare piglins away and don't place any warped fungus nearby because they don't breed while being scared... I mean that makes sense. Also hoglins are scared of warped fungi, nether portals and respawn anchors. So use leads as he mentioned.

2:18 i thought there was a change to make them act like overworld babies in a snapshot they usually follow but chase the player if they see them 18:12 they don’t attack creepers fortunately; since they’re undead, witches will only heal them, making them great for witch farms.

It looks like Zoglins are also good for clearing Spawning Platforms, as they are too big to fall down a 1 Block gap.

Hi Pix, its not about whether the Hoglins have eaten food before going into the portal. They are just generally scared of turning into their zombified forms(which are done by the hoglins going through the Nether Portal). So you will need to kind push or wait for the hogl9ins to get to the nether portal. I hope this helps. Hoglins avoid warped fungi (including in a flower pot), nether portals, and respawn anchors. They naturally sink in water and eventually drown, despite being living mobs; this was intentionally programmed into the game by Mojang.[1] They are not immune to fire or lava.[2] Hoglins can be lead with a lead despite the fact they are hostile. ~Minecraft Gamepedia on Hoglins and Zoglins

14:38 its because portals(activated in nether) do not form their linked portal in the overworld directly unless the player has himself walked through the portal , thats when the overworld portal is generatd and anything including babies of anything can actually pass through the portal.

To get even higher spawn rates for mobs, you will have to remove the nether roof because the height map depends on the highest block, so if you don’t remove the nether roof, it will not make that much of a difference compared to building it on the ceiling, especially since now the subchunks are not really a thing, and every block counts. Edit: by remove the nether roof, I meant just above the spawning platforms.

Every mob can go through portals but the player needs to go through first to generate the terrain, that’s why the first time didn’t work :). Great vid!!

I was playing minecraft in pocket edition on a seed '666'. I found a nearby ruined portal and made and enderman killing station. I mined out a nylium block block by mistake, AND RIGHT UNDER THAT WAS 2 ANCIENT DEBRIS! Ancient debris is more common than you think.

I found that even if the Player makes the kill, if the Piglins are in the Hunt mode, they still have a chance to do the Victory Dance. They were aggroed and Hunting a Piglin on top of a Crimson Forrest Tree, when I yeeted it for them and they teated me to their Dance. And can you please make the Piglin Farm drop Raw Pork Chops. All of the designs I see cook them, which is fine for early game, but they start to just pile up after awhile , and gathering Trade Items need some love too, thanks.

Pix, I think you're forgetting that you need to pass thru the portal for it to work. It doesn't spawn in the overworld before you step through, so you can't lure anything into the portal until you've used it yourself.

Idea you have probably had for one already. I’m just getting back into Minecraft and have started my survival world, now that I’m exploring the areas farther out around my main base Iv found many of broken nether portals. Would be cool to see a video about how/percentages of them spawning and how worth it they might be to look out and venture through. I play with large biomes and starting this world before 1.16 has bit me in a bit a bit because Iv got a large nether wastes and haven’t been able to find any of the new biomes because of it

2 things about those passive spawning mob farms: 1) i'm not 100% sure, but i think they patched the game so that making a farm lower in the world won't give higher spawn rate anymore. Or maybe that tweak only affected Java? 2) Even if they didn't fixed that, what mattered to determine the spawn rate was the highest spawnable block. I don't know if the bedrock ceiling affects, but all the netherrack definitely does. So unless you clear up every removable block above, the spawn rate won't improve guaranteed.

#hoglin_repellents was introduced in a snapshot with warped fungi, warped fungi in a pot, nether portal and respawn anchor. #piglin_repellents on the other hand has all 4 types of soul fire (torch, lamp, campfire and flames)

The reason that those piglin didn't went through the portal is because the location of the portal in the overworld wasn't loaded because pixlriffs didn't went through it first so the piglins would be in unloaded chunks which is not possible

Pix you can hatch a baby ender dragon if you place done the ender dragon egg and then placing the dragons head on top of it and then when it grows up you can and horse armour to it and by anding a saddle to it you can then ride it around your minecraft world

If you drag a mob through a portal without you loading those chunks/going through the portal first, the mob won’t go through.
