Many times especially as kid after baseball, go to a&w for hotdog and butter beer float, as they called it.did have scoop vanilla ice cream 👍, couple restaurants made like a Sunday, but all good lol..

Butterbeer is an Ale based mulled Christmas drink dating back to 1588... So t think they had creamsicles then, or cream soda for that matter.

Sup, this is awesome 👍, memories.. living and growing up in RI we had lot of a&w fast food places like 15+ yrs ago. I've had this, some places also layered ice cream in. I feel like a kid again lol. Never watched Harry Potter but glad made it, wish father was alive to see. Thought was just a RI thing, who knew, tyvm tc

You should check them out, the first couple are more for children but still really good but the later movies and books are great for pretty much everyone. I need to try this with ice cream. Maybe make a butterbeer sundae/float at some point? 🤔

I can think of variations of this iconic drink. Like real scotch or dark rum. The butter should probably be more fully blended so thee aren't bits to strain out. Zero sugar root beer or cream soda because there is a fair amount of sugar in it already. Maybe a light or dark brown sugar instead of white or powdered sugar. Some nutmeg or cinnamon or ginger dusted on top of the redi whip at the end.

Real butterbeer has tempered eggs which help emulsify the butter into the ale.

It’s usually carbonated where I’m from so I’m not sure if it differs by region but from my experience, yes

I haven’t been to universal yet unfortunately but I would imagine this version is more sweet, this version is more of a dessert but even so I would probably recommend cutting back on the butterscotch topping a little bit, it did become probably too sweet for most people.

​@@DragonByte79 butterscotch ist im wesentlichen Karamell und geht glaub ich so nen bisschen in die werters echte richtung geschmacklich. Vom aussehen her würde ich einfach Karamell-Eiscreme sauce nehmen, dürfte so ziemlich das gleiche sein...
