From the books there is a line which states that there's alcohol in. Dobby says that another houself was drinking 4 bottles of butterbeer. Ron or Hermione says :"well, it's not strong, is it? Dobby replies: "It's strong for houseelves." So, if British teenage wizards don't think it's not strong. I'd say it the alcohol content should be less less than 5%. Maybe same alcohol content as light beer?

When using British recipes using cider, remember that in Britain cider is always what you call hard cider. What you call apple cider is just apple juice, spiced or otherwise.

Working at Universal, the Butterbeer there is literally cream soda with some extra sugar/cinnamon and a butterscotch marshmellow fluff. The hot Butterbeer is just butterscotch hot coco. The frozen is well...frozen.

Can you explain what the purpose is, or what one is trying to accomplish by "butter washing" the bourbon. What does this do to the bourbon? Additionally, does this change the butter at all? Could you then use that butter for cooking, like for basting a steak while searing or just dropping a dollop on your steak at the end?

Ik I’m not him but a simple way to make butter beer like he said was with cream soda and butterscotch syrup. Though that might be a touch sweet for some people I personally find it a easy way to mimic butter beer it is also fantastic when vanilla ice cream is added to make a butter beer float. I’m sure there are many recipes that you can find online. Sorry if I couldn’t be more help
