It was a defensive pact though, they technically respected it, plus i believe that they would do worse than they did irl, since the population would want the italian territories in Austria-Hungary and the end of material trade with France and England would cripple the italian industry

There would BE No Chance If Italie joined the Central Powers and i would even think that the Front would collaps even faster (maybe middle 1916) the french were prepared, there we're hundred thousand troops at the french alps If they joined. Also the Italiens Militär and Public would feel betrayed because These Land Austria Had were called "the eternal Italien lands" and italy got These in ww1 but they wanted more.

What if Hitler's expextations about early war were true? IE UK and France either were too afraid to declare war over Poland OR they declared war on USSR too(which would turn WWII after Barbarossa into 3 way war with possible seapate peace for either sides), *BUT* in return France and UK would be much harder to break too(reminder that Dora and Gustaf railway guns were made to help break Maginot and given their timeline, germans expected a long haul).

Spain was devastated after the civil war, so there is little reason to assume that them joining the Axis would have had any meaningful positive impact. At most, they could have provided a staging ground for an invasion of Gibraltar.

They probably would not have even gotten very far in Russia if they had to also worry about Sweden and Norway and they actively fought back.

See, the issue isn't as unlikely as he said. They key indicator that made it almost impossible is war. He also stated that the party was formed in 1933 but garnered 15,000 people in 1 year but doubts the movement would have reached above that within seven years.

Piece of advice Stak, you should use the mappa mundi mod from the descrition "Mappa Mundi is a complete overhaul mod which turns Hearts of Iron 4 into a mapping tool. You can use it to recreate historical borders from the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire in 1806 to the present day, or create your own alternate history maps, by using toolpack to transfer states between nations and change country names. "

A channel called Zvallid did a good video on this. In his video Japan declared war on Germany which made them a British and Soviet Ally. Once Japan attacked Perl Harbor USA declared war on Japan, which eventually led them to clash with Britain leading to an alliance with Germany.

Stakuyi this is for you. So there's actually an alt scenario video that is pretty interesting in the way it involved Germany and US joung forces. And that's Japan not being part of the Axis and declaring war on Germany to take over Indochina against the wishes of Vichy France. Yeah France protested and German since it wasn't aligned with Japan gave Japan an ultimatum which pretty much pushed Japan into becoming a defacto british and soviet ally. From there Japan kept sinking their boats and just overal caused a rift between GB and US until it lead to war. The video is by Zwalid iirc. Check it out

I once saw a alternate history scenario documentary, that made this scenario happen, by Germany opposing the Japanese invasion of french indochina. Which results in Japan joining the allies, somewhat bypassing the US embargo. Japan fights the axis along the british, but still sees the US as an enemy, still attacks pearl harbor, the US declares war on Japan, and only Japan, the UK and USA try to keep the peace, but it ultimately doesn't work out, the UK declares war on the US hoping for a long unpopular war for the US to get a negotiated peace, which results in the US and axis working together. Does this scenario sound plausible to you?

I think a more fun version of this wouldve been if Japan and German relations were soured, maybe Hitler thought better of the Italian navy and aided them towards control of the mediterranean. As a result, they kept their relations in asia with the Chinese instead of the Japanese. Japan would declare on Germany at some point after the invasion of France had already been done, Vichy France wouldve been in control of Indonesia. Have Japan go in and take it, despite warnings from the Axis. I think another youtuber did a miniseries with that situation in mind, but generally whenever i see US vs UK in ww2, this is the general setting for it, Japan is allied with the UK and still declares on the US for the pacific islands, buying oil from the Commonwealth and Soviets alike, but still not enough. Thus, making a scenario where eventually the 2 powers would have to fight one another eventually.
