X crossing does make some sense. it happens when 4 provinces share a corner, therefore creating an X (or +) shaped border between them

Hey there I'm trying to create a border conflict between my custom nation and the USA. The war shows up but the ai won't send its divisions over there to fight and neither will the USA so its at a constant undecided outcome. When I take over the country the divisions immediately begin heading to the conflict area without me doing anything. Why isn't the ai sending its divisions?

I have a slight problem, the error.log says that "add _extra_state_shared_building" is an invalid scope. Does that mean that I used the scope wrong? I'd like a tutorial about buiding constructions, because I am having issues with that in my mod

I have an error when I open the error log in debug mode: "The system cannot find the specified path." And mods don't work, even simple ones, where I only added national focuses. Can you help solve this problem?

What does [18:41:46][statehistory.cpp:160]: Unknown countrytag for TOP owner-change in TODO mean. I KEEP GETTING IT and I don´t get it. I also have [18:41:49][countrytag.cpp:109]: TOP - is not in the tag list even tho I put it in the taglist. Can you pls help

Made a new country, made a focus to it that adds buildings. The buildings are not added, until I choose an idea, or switch to another country then switch back. No error log nothing.

I have an error that keeps crashing my game when loading. It reads “Error reading division template (Division Template)”. How do I fix this? The division template in the event files look readable, as it says something like “SOV_INF_1”.

Obviously you have an issue with one of your division templates, fix/delete the template and that should fix it. If you don't know which template does it, start by removing all the files in history/units (those are the files that contain templates) and than putting them back one by one until you find the file that's causing the crash.

I'm getting this pesky error message telling me that my map definition has got errors. The same error appears when deleting strategic region or supply area files from working mods, so I'm certain that it's not the map definition. Do you happen to know this error and its causes? EDIT: Problem solved, you just need to have every single province assigned to a state, strategic region and supply area, kind of obvious, if you think about it...

when i play the mod "The Great war" the focus names look something like this: "GER_ww1_secret_alliance_rom", or events are called: "ww1_bulgaria.1.t." instead of the real name. How do you fix this?

You cant fix that... that is because the mod devs have not added localizations to those focuses so you just gotta wait for them to update the mod or just ignore it

Would it be possible (I completely understand if it isn't) for you to make a video or point me towards another video of someone else's that goes through changing flags for EU4 on a mac computer because the flag file setup is a bit different.

I do not own a MAC so can't really make a video but perahps you can search for hoi4 modding mac and see if anything comes up... I haven't encountered any videos explaining how to do that on MAC's

“Some errors are present in the map definition and have been logged to error.log” Every time I try to load my mod I get this message, I have tried the steps it says but it still won’t work, I know for a fact that the content of my mod is 1.9.1 compatible and I even tested it by copying the files from another mod into a new mod folder, the actual mod loads but my the test mod with the exact same files I try to load crashes still. Does anyone know what’s wrong and how it can be fixed?

Look for the error.log and use the find system and type 'map_error'. these errors are the ones making the 'Some errors are present in the map definition and have been logged to error.log' appear everytime you start. I just fixed this certain problem and it's no longer appearing but I have another problem, sad.

@@alexsanderkonkin6359 AFAIK the game doesn't use too many ID's for ministers. Mostly they are used for generals/field marshals and admirals... You can find all of them by pointing Notepad++ to the Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV\history\countries folder, opening search with Ctrl + F, switching to the Find in files tab, typing in the 'Find what' box "id" (make sure to put a tick on Match whole word only) and clicking the Find All button To make it easier for you I see that GER uses I'Ds 1-31 HUN - 500 JAP - 700 SOV: 401 - 412 USA: 602 57 601 That seems to be all of them.
