NEW 2024 Assetto Corsa Mod Install Guide | Content Manager, CSP, Sol/Pure, Tracks, Cars & More

Just a few fixes for common issues I'm seeing: 1. If Sol (or anything else) is taking a super long time to extract - just extract it to your desktop first, then put the files into your AC directory. This seems to fix it taking forever. 2. UPDATE CSP! You should be on the latest untested release, not the stable version that it probably installed to. (Paid users don't need to worry about this). 5:53 in the video explains this a bit more.

If yall are struggling with superduper slow speeds (like 16 hours long) when transferring and copying files remember to unzip the files with 7zip. Was probably mentioned in the video but it took my dumbass a couple of hours to realize. Other than that amazing guide 🗣🔥

@@tobyklepinger4739 did you do it with 7zip? If yes the download should be fast enough that you don't even see it being downloaded! Juste check in CM if sol is installed if not make sure you excract it in the correct folder

EVERYONE if you guys have been having issues with not being able to switch the "weather fx" to sol or pure i have recently found a solution that worked for myself and hope it works for you all ! What i did was drag the zip folders directly onto the "content manager page while being open instead of adding it into my "root" folder as soon as i did this 3 green lines on Content manager lit up green letting me know the files were ready to download i clicked on them to confirm and low n behold it worked !! I hope this helps you guys !!!

@@JoseMartinezcdg You can! There are loads of settings in Content Manager for tweaking how your controls work, and if you have a dualsense it’s already natively supported.

For those having issues with the Weather using PURE, make sure to update to the latest UNTESTED CSP version, I went with the recommended one like I assume most of you did. This solved my issue!

IF YOU HAVE THE PROBLEM OF 16 HOURS TO TRANSFER/COPY THE FILES All you have to do is export the zip file into a new folder. From this new file you select the folders then put them into the root folder

I have a hard time getting Sol to work. I downloaded the latest untested CSP version and followed your tutorial, but when i get into the game, the sky is just black and there are no Sol apps on the right side. And also, when i went to weather and then to controllers, there was no Sol 2.5. Only sol, sol 2 and sol 2static. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what i did wrong and how i can fix it

Edit: I figured it out, it wasn’t sorting the files when I dropped them into the ac files, so I just dropped them into content manager and everything works. I have everything working but I cannot for the life of me get srp and the srp car pack to work. I have tried literally everything I can think of and the track just makes my game crash and I don’t see any of the cars

Stupid me manged to delete all(!) mods via fresh steam install and since I forgot how to install this which was like ages ago I'm glad you helped me across the street ;) One thing tho: Last SOL step in the Drive menu I have no 'contrllers' opt in the weather tab. Just: RANDOM ORIGINAL BY TYPE SOL and MODS (which appears to be identical to SOL). Did I miss s.th.? Ignore? EDIT: Nevermind, I'm just dumb :)

@@gabrielbocanegra8859 Not sure to be honest. After some tinkering with other stuff in CM and then returning to the 'DRIVE' page it was just there. Maybe a CM restart? Sorry I can't be more specific. EDIT: Only thing I remember is switching CSP from 'recommended' to a more recent 2.X version.

Hey bud, I really hate to bother you as I’m sure you’re very busy. However, I am having a problem, moving the soul files and dropping them into a settle course of file manager. When I do that, it takes about 10 minutes to move one percent. My computer is fast 12 General nine processor 3080 graphics card. But for some reason, I can’t bring the soul files over any advice? No worries! This seems to happen for a few people but I'm not quite sure what causes it yet. It seems to help if you just extract the whole mod first to somewhere like your desktop or downloads folder, and then you should be able to move everything you need over to the Assetto Corsa folder much faster.
