NEW 2024 Assetto Corsa Mod Install Guide | Content Manager, CSP, Sol/Pure, Tracks, Cars & More

Just a few fixes for common issues I'm seeing: 1. If Sol (or anything else) is taking a super long time to extract - just extract it to your desktop first, then put the files into your AC directory. This seems to fix it taking forever. 2. UPDATE CSP! You should be on the latest untested release, not the stable version that it probably installed to. (Paid users don't need to worry about this). 5:53 in the video explains this a bit more.

If yall are struggling with superduper slow speeds (like 16 hours long) when transferring and copying files remember to unzip the files with 7zip. Was probably mentioned in the video but it took my dumbass a couple of hours to realize. Other than that amazing guide 🗣🔥

@@tobyklepinger4739 did you do it with 7zip? If yes the download should be fast enough that you don't even see it being downloaded! Juste check in CM if sol is installed if not make sure you excract it in the correct folder

@@JoseMartinezcdg You can! There are loads of settings in Content Manager for tweaking how your controls work, and if you have a dualsense it’s already natively supported.

EVERYONE if you guys have been having issues with not being able to switch the "weather fx" to sol or pure i have recently found a solution that worked for myself and hope it works for you all ! What i did was drag the zip folders directly onto the "content manager page while being open instead of adding it into my "root" folder as soon as i did this 3 green lines on Content manager lit up green letting me know the files were ready to download i clicked on them to confirm and low n behold it worked !! I hope this helps you guys !!!

For those having issues with the Weather using PURE, make sure to update to the latest UNTESTED CSP version, I went with the recommended one like I assume most of you did. This solved my issue!

ANYONE THATS HAVING AN ISSUE WITH SOL NOT SHOWING UP: Update the content manager first in the three bars on the top right. after you did that and it restarts, close it, then drag and drop the sol files then open it back up and it should be in the dropdown

If you cant see the controller drop down on weather, go onto the custom shader packs menu in settings and select the most recent available version on the right side i.e. 0.2.5

Great info! Question: at 9:05 you go to the Drive menu and scroll down in “Weather” to controllers. I don’t show that. Python apps are checked, everything appears updated, but I only get options of “random, original, by type, sol, or mods”. Sol just lets me check clear, clouds, etc. Nothing dynamic. Paid version of CSP. Everything downloaded today. Thoughts?
