My lazy tofu, is just freezing it, letting it thaw in the fridge, then cubing it, and throwing it into an air fryer. When I want more flavor, I create a thick sauce, and cover them. The laziest sauce of all is BBQ. :D

Can’t wait to tell my meat-loving relatives that I’m making this for Thanksgiving (for me only.) At least they LOVED your green bean casserole. I’m going to try your tip about doubling the cashew sauce. Small steps with the family, thanks to many of your recipes.

Right? Every year I make a lentil loaf and I have to worry if the inside is cooked or is it mushy. It's a whole production. This dish looks just as good if not better, takes a fraction of the time. I love this dish.

I don't celebrate the holidays Joey but that doesn’t mean I can't eat those meals because they are suitable for anytime during the winter. So the bird could be a type of finch, some of them have a lot of red - definitely not a robin. Another way to get even more flavor into the tofu slices and make the texture a little firmer and meatier, is to gently boil the slices in the broth for about 15-20 minutes, let cool in the broth and drain. I'm not a tofu lover, so boiling and freezing are still my go-to methods for making it tastier. They look really good. Was always skeptical of using rice flour (usually use cornstarch) for thickening, but that looks great so will try it out Monday when we are actually doing our Thanksgiving dinner.

A great tofu press is a TofuXpress. Base comes off to use as a cover.

Have you guys tried freezing your tofu? It removes the liquid, and gives it a firmer texture. :D I don't really press it anymore. Edit: Happy Holidays. :)

We have done that before and I just don't like the texture of it after it is frozen. Ill pass on freezing it.
