Love this video and your channel, so helpful!! As a person whose always had bad teeth (I would have 2 cavities per year on EVERY annual dentist checkup as a child, also yellowish despite brushing using standard toothpastes 2-3x a day) I thought it was just a reality I had to accept until I discovered recently how bad the standard advice given by dentists is. The staining thing is so true, one of my new year resolutions for me was to start drinking green tea and matcha daily to replace coffee. After few months I started noticing a strange gray tinge to my teeth and I was FREAKING out because that's something that people who smoke cigarettes have, gray teeth, (and I definitely don't do that) ..well I googled and apparently there's some specific substance in green tea that causes teeth to become gray (black tea and coffee stain yellow). Still deciding on straws, im reluctant because daily straw drinking has been proven to overtime create lip winkles (alà smoker lines). Also for toothpaste, there is an amazing natural toothpaste ingredient known as "hydroxyapatite" , its a natural mineral created from apatite that is found in bones of our teeth and its the only substance that can actually help remineralize enamel (not just protect it). Its super known in Japan, almost all toothpastes have it, but its just starting to pop up in the West. I recommend checking out the brand "Boka" (I think they are available on iHerb), its non toxic and biocompatible.

Thank you so much for the suggestion! Yes I’ve been considering the straw thing too, but still worth it. I actually also grew up with cavities all the time, but turned out it was because we got apple juice at lunch and of course I choose apple juice instead of water!!

@@synchronicity67 I think you can, and rinsing with water plus waiting 30 minutes before brushing after eating something acidic. I agree, I absolutely love watermelon and orange juice too... It's for sure my favorite drink :)

Thanks!🙏 1. Also ther is oil pulling using coconut or mustard oil. Many people in India use little mustard oil with a local sea salt(equivalent to himalyan or celtic, just not regular table salt as that's v bad) n then make a scrub like paste n apply vigorously to each n every part of teeth, gums, for as long as wish- guessing couple minutes enough in most cases. Personally know people who used this even for severe gum infections n teeth holes due to cavities n its cleared their issue(dentist had suggested ofcourse several procedures but she didn't go for it). 2. Xylitol= Im trying to get good quality xylitol online but its v expensive so haven't ordered yet but wil do so. 3. CASTOR OIL- seems its good fir 100 of issues so maby search for benefits of it n maybe wen applied externally over cheeks n face, wil help ( im gonna try it as its also good for under eyes n skin too) All d best to all who r going natural n away from regular medical drs 11😜👍

Maybe check out iHerb for the xylitol! 🩷

Unfortunately I am allergic to green tea otherwise I would use that instead of mouthwash. What would you recommend instead? I have never had any cavities and I have had my wisdom teeth removed. I also suffer from overcrowding in my mouth.

Hello from Canada...almost all my relatives live in Sweden and Finland...unfortunately my grandmother she used to make filjag but she has passed...would it be possible to get the recipe to make a starter from you...??(lactic milk) Tak...
@SagaJohanna2 жыл бұрын
Hello! I wonder if we are related haha. I have family who immigrated to Canada, way back, but my grand parents did some family history and they were all invited over and I got to try maple syrup. But as a child I could not stand the taste, being used to only Golden Syrup! :D That is a fantastic video idea! I have saved it, I will consult some library books because I think it is best to find an old recipe with good instructions, but in the meantime you could see if this would be possible to ship to Canada! :) startercultures.eu/product/dairy/yoghurt/yogurt-starters/filmjolk-starter-culture-for-home-made-yoghurt/

Hi. I think my teeth have lost enamel- they’re transparent but also yellowish and two of my teeth are hard white but also greyish? I think because when I was younger I used to brush my teeth harshly Please tell me I can fix them naturally somehow I’m really insecure of my teeth maybe I could send a picture Of them if you don’t mind because my dentist hasn’t said anything which is concerning I’m also young so it’s a shame my teeth are yellow and my enamel is gone..
@SagaJohanna Жыл бұрын
Oh I’m sorry to hear that. Enamel gone is usually from not taking care of your teeth properly, diet, soda etc. and acidic foods like sparkling water, lemon and orange. There are no actual ways of rebuilding enamel, but I’d highly recommend you speak to a dentist about it to make sure you can keep your teeth healthy and have them for the rest of your life! Maybe go to a different dentist and ask them!

@@SagaJohanna Thank you. Do you think cod liver oil helps?
@SagaJohanna Жыл бұрын
@@noor-l7s3w No, as far as I'm aware there is no science to support that. If anything there is an issue with heavy metal chemicals from cod liver oil. Rinsing your mouth after each meal (with water), waiting at least 30 minutes to brush your teeth after eating something sour/acidic, will help protect your enamel. Also drinking enough water and eating healthy to keep your saliva levels normal! :)

Hi. what you think about root canal ?
@SagaJohanna2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I’ve never had a root canal but many of many family members have had them. I think the main issue is that people who need a root canal might not have taken care of their teeth, and after a root canal is extra important to keep taking of your teeth :)
