God i miss vanilla wow :( old nost P-Server. I really hope Everlook will live up to it's hype when it goes live. I'm still watching all your old videos to still improve my paladin gameplay :) sadly with work, family so on I've only at very best got 4 hours pr week to play... Doesn't really work well with how vanilla wow is played :( but the memories are still there ❤️ again great info in the video and i hope you're well irl out there.

Glad you enjoyed, generally yes a Dwarf is the better pvp option but for paladin it's not generally to game breaking compared to human but perception does have its time where it shines aswell so it's kinda up to you

Is there a benefit to putting talents into readout and shield spec while wielding a two hand wep?

It's kinda preference, at lest 1 point in redoubt is nice for the animation whe. You get crit so you can count stacks easier, and any more than that just depends if you like using shield or not, sure it's less damage but the mitigation from the shield is nice sometimes especially when you are doing bgs and you start dedicated healing a warrior

Devo aura talent is crap because you'll rarely ever use it in pvp. 1 point in shield is needed to get to the next teir.

Deathray does not do magical damage, it's Physical damage in vanilla. Maybe on private server but not on reail vanilla or classic :(

One thing I never understood was: Why take the talents Redoubt and Shield Spec in the Protection tree when you're always wearing a 2-Hander for your Reckoning bombs? Is it purely for some Dungeon tanking? Seems like a big investment for something you might not do a lot of. In this video he doesn't even have Improved Righteous Fury to tank....

Thanks for an answer! A follow up, would you recommend this spec route as a leveling spec? Also, what could they change about reckoning that wouldn't make this work?

As for leveling with it, you would be much slower than traditional ret as command is just much stronger while leveling but if you could keep up with a good dungeon weapon reckoning leveling can be strong, as for what they could tweak with reckoning would be if we can still sit to force stacks or nerfing proc rates on stuff like shadow oil which as a side affect nerfs reckoning at 60 since it's used to heavily to increase performance in reck bombs

@@Hecto_Pascal Its basically holy reckoning with items that proc shadow bolts or life drain. Probably with shadow damage buffs and gear. I knew Drakova called holy reckoning shadow reckoning once he optimized it more.

One of the guys from Nost, Nero or something like that I think, said so during an interview with Tips. He said when they got at Blizzard, they had a talk with Ian about the scripts and many data points in their code. He followed by saying that they got many things wrong, including weapon proc rates for epics. They were obtained by forum archives most of the time, not actual source code because it was no longer available. Ian told them, if I remember correctly that they got the Onyxia breath wrong, among other things. Nost was a good effort, and I'm thankful for their dedication. But it wasn't vanilla. Videos made with private servers are just not accurate when it comes to minmaxing so I'd take it with a grain of salt. Having raided during vanilla, I don't remember people going crazy for what were essentially vanity items that had fun mechanics, but were unreliable. Ian confirmed the proc rate was about 1%, instead of the 10% we usually get on private servers.
