The animals being held in the group shot all belong to either Austin or Tim. The big white dog is Tim's Satchmo, who sometimes goes on tour with them. The red Pittie and small dog are Austin's, as is the caf being held by Austin. Tim is holding one of his cats.

Sometimes I have to not watch Home Frees' videos so I can actually hear the music because their videos are like mini movies. Little works of art that are engaging all on their own. I loved this cover of the Everly Brothers song from the 60's. The guys did the usual by putting their own unique twist on it without ruining the vibe of the original. They always sound so dang good. I had to laugh at Adam. He could barely do his beat boxing part for the recording of the video cause he looked as if he were going to burst out laughing the whole time. Austin and Chance looked as if they "forgot to sing their parts" for the video at certain points as well cause they were smiling so much. Your reactions are always entertaining and informative. Thank you.

This makes me so happy. In the shots with the whole band, the pets belong to Austin and Tim. Tim is holding his cat Lenny, Rob is holding Satchmo, Tim’s dog. Adam Chance is holding Kota, Austin’s dog, Austin is holding his cat Whinnie, who was rescued at a back yard bash concert. 😻 Adam Rupp is playing with Austin’s dog Titus. Adam and Titus have me in giggle fits, so Pawsome! 😻🐾😹

What a great song & message. I Love that Home Free is showing love for our furry friends & promoting an animal charity. Many need homes & need to be loved. Animals are great medicine & can help those with mental health issues. "When Will I Be Loved" was written & recorded by the Everly Brothers in 1960. Linda Ronstadt covered the song in 1975.

Great reaction! As usual you pointed out stuff I hadn't noticed before. BTS bit: Chance realized after the fact that he was kneeling in dog pee in the fake grass. Apparently he and Tim wear the same size jeans, as he asked if Tim had a spare pair with him. You'd think Tim would after the number of wardrobe malfunctions he's had -- just a few weeks ago he ripped a pair while climbing over a barbed wire fence to film a video. He let VIPs at the campout cut up the pants and take home pieces. Alas for Chance, Tim must have felt confident filming so close to home that he didn't have a spare pair here.

Just a perfect song to highlight their ability to do harmonize anything they touch beautifully. Home Free has the ability to combine those beautifully sad and happy moments of a song. Found myself tearing up and smiling at the same time. They could be emotionally exhausting; but they are so good at creating something completely satisfying. Like a three course meal when they do songs like this!

The story arc with the shelter dog escaping and going looking for love is so sweet and sad. He approaches a guy with a dog who was playing with a stick. The guy turns his back and walks away, so our pup goes to examine the other dog's stick. The dog comes back for his stick and warns our poor lonely seeker off. So our pup tries jumping into a strange car hoping to get taken home. Nope - unceremoniously ejected from car. This poor guy has covered a lot of ground looking for someone to love him, so when he finds a likely bag in the garbage he stops for a meal, and a guy takes pity on him and takes him home. Score!! It seems that the song is a backdrop for the story, but the song really is wonderful in its' own right. (A lot like Brother, where the visuals are also a bit distracting.) Just means that I always need to listen several times.

Hmm, release in 1974, my freshman year in high school ... yeah that's a few years ago. 😁 Now all Jen wants to do is hug the dogs! And she keeps getting distracted! RUFFer! 😂 Focus Jen, focus! 😆 I will say their cover did stay true to the harmonies in Linda Ronstadt's version. But all in all, it's really a fairly simple arrangement as Home Free covers go. Just crunchy harmonies, a few interesting beat box sounds, and plenty of dogs to distract Jen from what's really happening. They planned it! Great reaction/analysis as always Jennifer! 😊

You're right in that it's a Plagal cadence, but it's not a IV-V progression. Plagal is usually IV-I, as in "Amen", which is what we heard. Cadences that end on a V chord are half cadences, so IV-V would be a form of half cadence. BTW, the original song was an up-tempo version by Linda Ronstadt. 😁
