Eric at South Main Auto has a great video on using these on his channel. They are quite popular in the rust belt and marine industry and I've used them for a long time. As far as stainless steel goes, I've found it will work with some grades that are magnetic.

Love that new device, very cool! What kind of plane is that you have behind you, is it yours? Do you have any videos of you flying? I like the picture of Little Man on it! Did you name him? Love your videos!

I have an old school Weller soldering "gun". I fit it with a length of coat hangar with an appropriately-sized loop around the suspect nut. Pull the trigger and the heat goes to the nut. Please use judicially.

So what the hell does this "tool" have to do with "not using this on an aircraft?" You must be getting a commission on the sales.

I'm guessing the strong magnetic current could wreak havoc on many avionics. Your bashing of someone who does a tremendous amount for general aviation is uncalled for.

Given what I've seen on the channel and of his sense of humor, he's probably thinking about the fact that most of the components on a plane are aluminum and will not heat efficiently.

What would you say the best route for someone working on barstock and steel rods might be? A prebuilt unit, or some sort of kit?

But can you pass your aviation medical with a pacemaker? I don't really know, but I doubt it.
@bethfarmer4040
@bethfarmer4040 4 жыл бұрын
From the AOPA site: Both heart valve replacement and permanent heart pacemaker insertion are “specifically disqualifying medical conditions.” This means that if you hold any class of medical certificate you should self-ground (FAR 61.53) until you obtain a special issuance (waiver); if you see your aviation medical examiner (AME), he or she cannot issue you a medical until you are “cleared” by the FAA's medical certification people.
