If you notice, Joe Kessler hasn't interacted with anything besides Butcher. Butcher pours him a drink in ep 1, but he doesn't drink it. This episode we see the powder on the table, but we never saw him put it there. We hear him leave, but we don't see anything. At this point, seems 99% sure he is like the devil on Butchers shoulder to Becca being an angel on his shoulder.

That's a very interesting theory. I seen a similar one about Hughie hallucinating his mom over facing the possibility he might have to pull the plug on his Dad, and that she actually really did commit suicide. It is still possible since Hughie should at least be experiencing some side effects from the V24, even if he's not dying. He's also the only one who spoke to her, and the scene with the lawyer could have also been a hallucination or it might just debunk the whole idea. Your theory seems to be a bit more likely tho, and i really doubt both theories are true. Although I was hoping Joe would be pissed after Butcher stops him from being able to use Ryan, eventually leading to him freeing Soldier Boy. Pretty much picking things right back up where he believes Butcher went wrong. It's gonna be such a great time seeing the rest of this play out, all the theories make shows like this so fun

@chriss8553
@chriss8553 3 ай бұрын
@fredwin ya, they would never do both. It would ruin the whole season tbh. Also makes sense that Joe would be a long dead friend or possibly mentor who died on the job. If he wasn't I don't think it be that hard for the writers to find a way around him operating without Mallory's knowledge tho. Especially with how stressed she seems this season. I could see a scenario where her superiors are unhappy with her results, and hedging their bets with someone like Joe, possibly even giving him a chance at her job. Who knows what the writers will do? Or how they'll make it work? I didn't think Butcher would team up with a supe like Soldier Boy, when he can't even accept Starlight, but they figured it out. After seeing this theory tho, I do think it's most likely he's an old dead friend of Butcher's that he's hallucinating. It just kinda fits into the story better. The only thing that makes me second guess it, is that he doesn't seem to be influencing Butcher like Becca does, and it almost seems like they're setting up for him to do something that really pisses Billy off and turns them on each other. Either way, he's obviously a representation of Billy's dark past that he's going to have to overcome. I can't wait to find out, but I'm definitely gonna miss all the theories and speculations

@angramainyu9220 tbh I couldn't remember if she was or not. It's just a theory I thought was interesting, but I definitely think it's unlikely at this point. There are plotholes and unrevealed details to consider, but it's still a long shot. I just find it weird that Hughie doesn't seem to be experiencing any side effects from the temp V. Even if he's not as messed up as Billy, he should still have some kind of brain damage from the 2 or 3 doses he took

The thing on Sages table was (probably) a Lobotomy Spike. Something that was used around the 1940s-1950s for some type of brain surgery to help with mental health problems and the spike was basically used to cut nerves in the brain by poking it in right next to the eye. My guess is that Sage uses this in order to get dumb for relaxation. So basically to get high on dumbness.

@@SS4Luxray Honestly, I can't fault people for not picking that up, but it's really not even the point. It's unfortunately one of the rarer incidents of lazy writing on the show, because Homelander would already be flying right up to those vents and ripping them apart. I believe if Becca is the angel on Butcher's shoulder, then JDM's character could be the devil on the other shoulder. I think Butcher is only imagining his old friend just like Becca. So far, JDM has only been seen alone with Butcher and never with other people and he wants the opposite of what Becca wants. I think Sage pursues her own goals and goes over dead bodies for it. I think she has a huge master plan in which everything has worked out so far, as she imagined it, no matter if it looks to us like the Boys or Homelander have just won or lose something. I think her end goal will be to destroy Vaught and Homelander, no matter the cost. The Caesar story also includes that he is stabbed in the back by his closest confidants. Of course, the plan won't make it in the end, because we still have one season left, but I think her goal is a good one. She has already inherited the position of CEO and Deep's position. She will either fill this position herself or with someone who is useful to her. In any case, she is slowly seizing power, while Ashley is still the face of the company on the outside. This means that she can be held responsible for everything. For propaganda, she has also filled a position herself with Firecracker. That's power she already has. I'm quit sure it was a lobotomy stick that lay on the table. So I think being the smartest person in the world comes with a price. She has sex with the Deep, the lobotomy rod lies there used on the table. I think she made herself stupid for a short time to recover. That's the reason why she decided to sleep with Deep... stupidity. Now that Homelander goes back to his past, I make the prediction that he will meet his mother. And his mother is Storm/Liberty, the Nazi lady with whom he had sex in season 2. That would also fit the show. In season 3, Soldierboy told that he had sex with her and I think Homelander is the result of a mixture from the ovaries of Liberty that was taken from her (which is what Homelander also wanted to do with Meave) and Soldierboy's semen. By the way, I wouldn't be surprised if Storm/Liberty then appears in a Darth Vader-like outfit and says "I'm your mother". It would also have the advantage that you don't necessarily need the actress. Yes, I think Storm is still alive and Edgar is just hiding her. The Emperor will have made Darth Vader out of her. I would partying if my theory is correct. I think Ryan is the only one who can kill Homelander. He's definitely stronger than his father. Homelander's Laser couldn't harm either Marie or Storm. Since Marie was immune to the Laser, Neuman will also be immune to it. Ryan, on the other hand, was able to destroy and almost kill Storm with his laser. So if anyone can stop Homelander and Neuman, it's Ryan. Neuman, I think, he won't do anything because he likes her daughter. So these are my ideas. Octopuses are highly intelligent. I think Ambrosia just wants to be free and does what it takes to manipulate Deep. Her first suggestion when something goes badly for Deep is to always take a vacation. Her only chance to escape.

There was really no need to make this political. At least to me, it didn't make any sense why transgenders in women bathroom, and children held captive in basements were mentioned. It had no significance to the plot; the issue was Starlight vs. Homelander, a "no one is above the law" kind of thing. But to me, it was a hint of an agenda, to be honest, and I'm not even American but saw through it.
@Fallen616
@Fallen616 3 ай бұрын
The show has been inherently political since the first episode, and the accompanying seasons reflected this & increased it. Did you forget Homelander’s rallies which aired during the 2020 American election? Did you forget Stormfront’s fiery politicized rally talk literally radicalized someone to kill for their ideology. Its making criticisms of the political system that Homelander is hijacking to indoctrinate & radicalize followers. He’s saying nonsense & he knows it to cement a radicalized base because he already said, he’s trying to implement a SUPE-superior society with humans enslaved. It’s all making commentary how politicians will enable conspiracy theories, bigotry, and discrimination to uphold and enforce a power system to benefits them solely. Media literacy is cratering around viral shows.

Making it political when it didn't need to be is Sage's plan. Because it riles people up. Riled up people do stupid shit and are easy to control. Remember what Sage said in her apartment - the collapse is inevitable, but they can nudge it along. They're agitating and radicalizing both the Starlighters and Hometeamers, as well as every left wing nut job, every right wing nut job, every all around conspiracy nut job. They want it all to BURN so they can step in and make Supes the true saviours of humanity, and rightful masters of the world. It's Hollywood. Of course there's an agenda. But it does make sense in context of the story for what they're trying to do.

@@gork8468I think you’re confused because your first paragraph response proved my point, the show is using extreme political ideologies to radicalize people into dying for their nonsensical cause. You just rephrased my point. But you’re missing the actual point, you said it’s Sage that’s using the political vehicle to hammer out their seditious plan but the reason Sage is doing that is because the show runners are critiquing society & it’s politics to deliver this message. You’re missing how the show runners inserted this into the show’s landscape while only placing it on Sage when that’s her whole purpose-deliver said malevolent political messages. You’re ignoring the show runner’s intent, intellect, and agency just because you’re missing the point. And your Hollywood comment doesn’t track because the political word salad spewed by Firecracker are words from the Freedom Caucus of the GOP. Hollywood isn’t the driving force is today’s culture wars-it’s the GOP. Listen to the GOP and you’ll hear the buzz words in the episode; Critical Race Theory, book banning, anti-trans, anti-immigrant, anti-gay policies. Plus a recently convicted felon Presidential candidate’s been railing against a corrupt, legal system-Hollywood didn’t write that-but somehow its the writers’ fault and not, you know, the guy who actually said it. This scapegoating of Hollywood for perpetuating culture wars is crazy when shows like these utilize writers, costume designer, actors, directors, production designer, any & all creative artists to make TV media but they’re all somehow deep state murderous elites. You sound a lot like what the show is critiquing.

I'm not American and barely skim the headlines whenever one of your politicians says or does something dumb enough to make international news. I"m too busy watching my own pack of morons try and tear my country apart to worry about someone else's. As for the Hollywood comment - everyone has an agenda. I call bullshit on agendas. It's a healthy habit. It's not a knock against the writers, or whatever. Clearly I like the show enough to watch reactions about it. It's an acknowledgement that most of what I know about American culture comes from them, so I'm not blindly buying in. "Scapegoating" wasn't my intent.

@InshalKhan-o4p 3 ай бұрын
@@Fallen616 I think you're confusing two different things. Listen to the firecracker's speech-there was no need to display transphobic behavior in relation to the plot. Nor was there any significance to the scene where someone enters Starlight's office to free children held captive. These elements had no relevance to the story. The real conflict was about Sage attacking the character of Starlight. Even in her speech, Starlight says, "They do not have all the power, we do," indicating that it was about supernatural politics and that no one is above the law. Hollywood is responsible for portraying cultures in various ways, whether you want to accept it or not. Movies are a powerful medium for propagating agendas. Look at films like *Fury*, *Saving Private Ryan*, and *Black Hawk Down*-all of which convey the idea that Americans are the ultimate heroes and good guys. Hollywood used to be genuine, but nowadays, it produces mediocre movies and shows, and even when a good one is made, it often gets ruined by some agenda. That's why I'm shifting more towards British and other European media, as they still prioritize the plot, unlike their American counterparts.

We know season 5 will be the last, and this season seems to be getting everyone mentally ready for the final showdown. A lot of characters are facing their trauma and getting in the right headspace to actually take down Homelander. This big mysteries to me are whats going on with Butcher and the worm in his brain and what Sages real plans are.

I think Sage gives herself a lobotomy. Kinda like her way of getting high. Most supes heal quickly and even said in her profile she heals quick. I think she just does this to escape from her thoughts. That’s why she watching dumb tv and chillin.

I'd love you to react to Banshee. It stars the actor who plays Homelander. Action, love, betrayal, comedy, Ukrainian mob, Amish. Under viewed and underrated show, imho.

Sage at the end mostly did herself a lobotomy, since her bio mentions some regeneration skills she will be fine by the next day. She mostly does that to relax and sociolize, her brain is going overtime all the time so the only way is for her to cut the thinking process at least for a moment. MM doesnt want to make things like butcher, but in the end he does the exact same thing like butcher, endanger the team. Now Homie knows that Hughie heared what they said and might try to hunt him down. Quesiton is, will Vicky try to hunt down Homelander like in the wargames, he kills Hughie, her profile gets out and she is f...d along with Zoe since everyone will know she killed congress and dozen people. So for that not to happen she must either hunt homelander or help/protect Hughie.

ryan is a natural born supe and the child of homelander so he’s probably much stronger, it’s unfortunate but we need ryan and he should be trained to do good rather than the alternative which is him growing up to be like his father, perhaps worse lol i dont think training is a bad thing !

With great power comes great responsibility. Beccas dream of giving him a normal life was sweet but naive. Doing so would set him up to hurt or kill people he loves down the road
