I was homeless for 26 years. I held a sign just 3 times, it was so embarrassing for me. When someone did give me some money or food I started sobbing, I couldn't even get words out to say thank you. It is I guess you can say easier but still it sucks. I hope the angels stay with you guys. You're awesome thank you for trying to make a change.

Me and my wife actually had a encounter at the grocery store a few months ago man was hungry so i went back inside bought him some food and something to drink, his face afterwards made my day. I was just on reddit and one homeless man shot an officer or something, and the entire thread, which was on the front page, was saying "okay, now I don't care about them, eradicate them! They are garbage! Plow down the tent cities fuck them all!" this was the only response I saw upon tens to hundreds of responses. It's disgusting. My mom was homeless with schizophrenia. She has a heart of gold. Nobody helped

I've seen this time and time again. I used to often go out downtown and feed the homeless, try to give them extra money, blankets, hand warmers but people would just stare at me. i just found your channel and watched all your videos. here in south Afrika homelessness is off the charts. I always help people and my friends all think i am crazy. i will give away my last money to help someone. i always try to help the street kids. I myself don't have much but what I do is meet with a group of the children every 2nd day take them food and teach them a skill of some kind. at the moment I am teaching them how to paint rocks and sell them at the local market. Many of the homeless are that way because they are so giving. They don't fight to hold onto what they have unless it's necessary to live another day. It's sad that we don't give more, but we're all so damn stuck in fighting to provide for ourselves that most of us don't have an abundance to give. There aren't many homeless where I live. It's super rare to come across one. As I live in the sticks in north central Florida. I've just lost my job due to this economy shutting down almost all the production in the facility I worked at. I have more experience in that feild than anyone else working there, 26 years worth. But I was the last supervisor hired there. With a union being in place there, last in=first out. I was hired 2 years ago with that company and the other supervisors had been there 1 year and more before me. So I'm out. I have to find a job in this area that has hardly any to be found unless I go for minimum wage. And then, I will be looked at as over qualified. They don't want to hire someone with my resume. Things can go south really fast in this world. Even when I'm working, the cost of everything had me living paycheck to paycheck. I need to look into how I can get involved in what it is that you're doing. I would feel really good about going to work everyday if I knew it was helping others while paying the bills at the same time. Just gotta figure out all the equipment needed to start.

I always try to help. I’ve been ridiculed for it! DON’T CARE. God has blessed me with a great husband, a nice home, good health. WE ALL NEED TO BE OUT THERE DOING WHAT WE CAN.
