Well done, sir! American ingenuity showing us again where there's a will, there's a way. I really like your design because it's truly manual, meaning no winch and it doesn't use the ram for motion either.

Rob, I have watched your lift video so many times my eyes are blurred. It is so simple and so efficient. Extremely impressed. I'm going to build one just like it. Thank you for posting it. Frank from Oregon

This is beyond perfect and simple. I have been looking to build a hydraulic lift, but I will do this now. Wish I could buy this

That is an awesome bit of design and KISS construction to make a valuable piece of kit to aid in splitting wood. Respect man.

Rob you deserve more subscribers than 33. Great addition to a small splitter

I watched a video. I was really impressed. I've seen many lifts. I also make wood splitters. So you can see how best this manual lift is. It is simple and perfect. Great! !

@Rob Booth ... Was looking for a simple lifter [the key to functionality, in my opinion] . This is nice. You did well.

I see that it works with no wood on it, but how much harder is it when you put a 75 or 100 pound round on it?
@guyh.45532 жыл бұрын
Interesting. Glad it works for you. Probably won't work for me though. Was hoping it was powered. But still a good build 😊😊😊

You need to put a patent on that. You would get rich selling one. I can't weld I want one. Lol

Almost as simple as mine. I simply stack splits from smaller logs into a ramp of sorts and roll the big ones up. Ancient Egyptian Physics.
@michaelstephen819Ай бұрын
At 1:10 is the log not going to roll toward you as you pull the lever? If I'm right, this seems risky in slippery conditions.

Rob - are you selling these? Did you have to change the motor and hydraulic placement as you said this was a Northern Tools 20 ton, which, does not seem to be available on their website. I could see your lift being used on a variety of other splitters that have the engine et alia at the rear. Well done! GOD Bless.
@robbooth79042 жыл бұрын
This splitter is at least 30 years old. It has a 5hp Tecumseh engine and a 4x24 cylinder. It was rated at 20tons. On sale I paid $699 for it.
@sandypidgeon43432 жыл бұрын
@@robbooth7904 Thanks, Rob. I went ahead with the Timberwolf TW-2 LD, 20 ton, and manual lift. They made a change to the log table grate which is not pictured on the website - it is much longer, and, it is bolted on rather than slipped on to the I-beam, and, it is REALLY heavy. The offer a towing extension as well. With this being on there in a semi-permanent state, it does make moving it rather difficult. This thing is a beast! GOD Bless
