I clothed my babies in cloth diapers. I used what you used and I wholeheartedly agreed that those where the best options! None of my friends clothed diapered and I felt really alone on what options to choose from. I did a lot of research. I’m so glad you made this video for people that are looking into it. It really is easy and cheap. And safer for the baby. Sometimes I would put a disposable on when we were out in about every once in awhile and I found that made them have more diaper rashes. Also coconut oil for the diaper rashes worked the best for me. My first one I bought all kinds of different products for diaper rash and I hated the ingredients in them. Then someone told me about coconut oil.

I used the big old-fashioned cloth diapers and another style that was smaller but had a thick reinforced cloth center. Oh, and I used the rubber legless pants that went over them. That was in the 70's and early 80s, and they were cheap! I must say, cloth diapers have certainly changed, but it would still be the better choice! It looks like you have a great system. 👍 I wish you and yours many continued blessings!

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing your cloth diaper tips! I have a one year old and have been mostly cloth diapering with him since he was 4 months. I have another one due around the same time you're due and am looking into different options of diapering- we use pockets now and I'm at the point of double stuffing them.. I think I can so better with good quality prefold or flats. The folds and different sizes are a little intimidating! Would love the short clips regarding diapering on the different folds, specifically for boys, laundering- have used prefolds before during nighttime and my baby woke with a horrible rash, I think due to the pee staying on him at night, nighttime routines with diapering, etc. Really loving your content and so thankful for the natural, wholesomeness and honesty of your life. Praise be to God for all these babies and growing families 💛🙏

I found out last June I was expecting our third, so I went out of the way to replace the fuzzibunz one size we used on our daughter as she’d leak through them at certain stages in her growth and wr didn’t have the funds to replace them. I spent a bit on preloved newborn (varying weight ranges) diapers, then bought some fitted and hybrid diapers brand new (half off though!) for as baby got bigger. We have 2 kids (11 and 6) and we didn’t have the money to get the, what I like to call ‘nicessities’ and made due with what we had. This time was a big deal because we were able to get actual furniture for baby’s room, we had the money to put towards the things we wished we had before. I put all of the diapers in their drawer, we have a double rail for hanging clothes. We were super excited, then lost the baby in September (the day before my deceased father in laws birthday!). We’ve been ttc since November with no luck, then I read that i could be ovulating earlier than I used to or not at all. Yep, a week earlier! We got our BFP yesterday after I checked to see when my period was due (yesterday). It’s the first time I cried seeing it. Both from excitement and fear of having to go through it again. The spacing between them isn’t ideal, bu we thought we were done until we realised how quiet the house is 😂

I'm new to your channel, and I made your laundry detergent last week. However, I had an idea how to make it easier on myself because the bucket is so heavy for me. I ended up grating the other 3 bars of soap I'd bought, and blended them with the washing soda and borax into a powder. Now I also have a powdered detergent and only have to use 2Tablespoons per each laundry load. I know it leaves out the essence but it's so much easier to manage, cleans great and still saving us money. Love your channel ❤

With all due respect, I want you gals to understand, please DO NOT use that soap in a machine.. that DIY recipe is 100% NOT a detergent. You can handwash with it, but for the love of your family DO NOT put it in your machine. I don't care if you hate me, I was making this "detergent" about a decade ago and I ended up paying for it and regretting it. There's going to be dozens of you saying that you do it and it's fine, but please understand from this lady, I'm married to a plumber and I'm a mom who has been cloth diapering since 2016, it is NOT a detergent. I don't want you to unknowingly risk your machine or buildup in your clothes. The worst case scenario your baby will get ammonia burns, but I just want everyone to know the risk is there. Currently pregnant with #5 and still recommend FluffLove University when it cones to laundry science. I just wish I hadn't had to learn these things the hard way.

For liquid Landry detergent, in this recipe you use 4 cups of borax & washing soda to 5 gallon but in the other video recipe 1 cup for 5 gallon. Why is that? I’m just curious 1 cup to 5 gallons sounds very little and not as concentrated plus when washing clothes more water is added and it becomes just very liquidy and not very soapy, but 4 cups sounds good. I love the original laundry detergent recipe, though this one seems easier. The original , along with making my own DW detergent and dish washing liquid have saved $30 a month. We have well water and a water softening system. I will say, all of the homemade detergents do not wash away clean unless you have soft water. My tank had gone out, and I did not know until I saw the residue in the DW, which was not really a bad thing, as I realised my tank was out lol. But, just putting that out there, from my experience. If you hand wash anything as far as laundry, you have to make sure that it is really rinsed clean, and for cloth diapers, less detergent is better.

Why add mustard to mayo??? Mayo doesn’t have mustard. Is this for taste???? I want to try your recipe on this and just asking.

You can leave it out!

I feel like cloth diapers are a no-brainer during the first 6 months when their poop is water soluble. It's really no extra effort!

Oh for sure!! I’ll admit the rinsing part is not fun when that comes, but I do EC too so not too many poopy diapers by that point 🙌🏽
