Man, the Fossil Cup is driving me crazy. I was playing the team with Jellicent lead and Lucario/Escavalier in the back, but I abandoned it because 80% of leads were Jellicents. Annoying and bait-dependent mirror match with my back line weak to Jellicent, it just didn't work. Switched to a team with Perrserker lead. I immediately had 4 straight Escavaliers in the lead. All 4 times, I swap to Jellicent and they counter with Lanturn. A line I had never seen before, and now I see it in every battle. Switch to the line with Ferrothorn lead and water in back. First 5 battles, I get 3 Ferrothorn mirrors, 1 Escavalier, 1 Lucario lead. I don't know what to do anymore.

I stick with bulky Pokemon for this one. Registeel/jellicent is the most consistent core since there really isn't many OHKO moves for these Pokemon, which means you can save shields. I alternate my third Pokemon between melmetal, escavalier, and ferrothorn depending on how I feel like playing.

I used ariados crawdunt mandibuzz during gl remix cup at the start of the season. And it was good since most of the fairies were banned and alolan Marowak was virtually everywhere crawdunt was having field day as long as Mandi was drawing out the counter or charm user..
