I love Sheriff Chuck Wright! I've literally watched him as I've grown up... I'm originally from SC, I remember him from around 7yo now I'm 30yrs older 🤭 so yes he has always been a loving man... Great to see he's continue to be the Sheriff of Spartanburg County..... ❤️He has so much love, care and God within his heart.... He's not a typical Sheriff that's for sure 😊🙏🏽....

Reporter , you said - " this can happen anywhere " my comment - yes it can - BECAUSE - our justice system continues to let these nasty , perverts , dangerous, warped criminals back out on the streets. Once someone has attacked and raped someone or kidnapped someone , lock them away ! All the blood of those innocent people murdered , should be on the hands of this messed up system ! And why are they sitting in a cell paid for by tax payers ? He took several lives - a rope at the hardware store cost about five dollars...

They could use all that land to build another prison to house them all. So many of these stories show the offender starts in their teens and continues on until caught. How bad does the crime need to be? Rape is just as bad as murder in my opinion.

They didn't mention it in this video, but the widow of the superbikes owner nearly had her life ruined by the cops trying to "solve" that case. They had their minds made up that she was responsible for the murders. They ruined her name locally, and almost caused her to lose her children. She finally moved away.
@sammygirl6910

I'm surprised they didn't mention it. It's kind of important since the cops had such tunnel vision that it may have contributed to the case going unsolved for as long as it did

They mixed up blood samples and thought she had gotten pregnant by someone not her husband COPS MISTAKE (took a month to figure out), she said she moved because she didn't want to have people looking at her and her son as those poor people get things right. Cops didn't nearly ruin her life ,what an exaggeration. This is about this couple not everyone involved get it.
@bryanrussell6679

@@blakesinclair488 It was a lot more serious than just a simple mix up with blood samples. They were trying to charge her with murder. She had to hire lawyers to fight this. Do you think the cops were ready and willing to own up to such a bad mistake? No. They tried to spin a narrative that still included her involvement in the crime. I guess that's no big deal for you. But to regular people, being wrongfully accused of murder can ruin someone's reputation, their livelihood, their life.

This was well before they knew Todd Kohlhepp was the murderer. She went thru hell, it wasn't just a minor clerical error. I haven't heard any recent interviews. @@wadewilson8011 You’re right, but here’s the but: Kala endured. Somehow, she kept this monster on ice so he didn’t kill her or anyone else, as far as we know. She didn’t lose her mind, despite the creepy things the creep did to her, and she was clearly and precisely able to tell the cops various claims he made to her. In my book, and most other peoples’ as well, that makes her a hero. As much a hero as her partner, in a different way. Open your mind, and you might understand that.

@@terredee I couldn't agree with you more! Like she mentioned, he made it very well known that if I didn't do what he wanted and if I wasn't useful anymore that I would die like the others. I didn't use quotations because I know that wasn't word for word. Had she not played her cards right and gained his trust, she would be dead like the others. That very well would have left him open to kill more people and the bike store shootings may have never been solved. It's absolutely heartbreaking what happened to Charlie, the three people at the bike shop and the married couple. Thankful for Kayla and her courage.

If I had been smart I would have stayed there. It was a good place to live and a good place to raise a family. I eventually made it back to NC. Kidnapping and sexual assault should be death. Or life with no parole. Often these predators get released and escalate their crimes. I think he killed the people at the motorcycle shop because he bought a motorcycle and had no idea how to ride it. He wanted a refund and they would not give him one. But I think he wrecked it. I might be wrong . But he just shot anyone he saw whom of which had nothing to do with his particular issue. Laws and sentences need to be thrown out and rewritten to fit todays crimes more specically and sentences need to be extremely harsh.

Kala was upset that the others died and she lived but, had she not lived that monster would still be committing his heinous, evil acts. She lived and now future victims will also live and not go through the hell she did. She should take comfort in that. Poor girl, I hope she is living a wonderful life now.

Parents were afraid of this scaring their children? My nephews 8 and ten know exactly what to do when a man approaches them and tries to take them with him. Grab the private with all their might, twist, pull, scream, and run. My heart still goes out to this family. The Lord will never forget him.

I remember the bike shop murders, and that innocent young lady being found in that container. However, the twists&turns of who did these crimes, and more is my first time hearing this. He needed to be charged with everyone of the sexual offenses perpetrated! I’m tired of these vast plea deals; I’m aware of why, yet give them what they deserve. What’s scarily interesting is when you listen to him speak to the detectives, he says… doing my usual…. USUAL WHAT? I feel he’s responsible for more than the murders known. Wherever this young soul is today, I pray she’s healing, and living peacefully!

Sittin' there in that orange jumpsuit he looks like the "Great Pumpkin." There's not even a prayer of undoing his carnage but I think it would at least be beneficial to explore these people's back life. Where, what and why. Where were you when you knew there was no going back. What was the incident and how did it play out from start to finish. And do you know the internal thought that drove you through the incident. There is always a single day and time when these people introspectively know they have gone around the corner.
